The persistent mobile network issues in Gilgit-Baltistan have reached crisis proportions, severely impeding communication, commerce, and connectivity in the region. Despite being a strategically vital area, the region's inhabitants continue to suffer from erratic and unreliable mobile services, characterized by frequent call drops, poor signal strength, and sluggish internet speeds. The absence of robust infrastructure, inadequate coverage, and lack of investment by telecom operators have resulted in this unacceptable state of affairs. Moreover, the region's rugged terrain and harsh climate exacerbate the situation, making it challenging to maintain and upgrade existing networks. The authorities must take immediate and decisive action to address this critical issue, ensuring that telecom operators prioritize network upgradation, enhance coverage, and provide reliable services to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. The region's economic development, public safety, and social well-being depend on it."
