𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧 re𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩-𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨

To enhance its roster of editorial staff, The Industrial Pioneer, the official student publication of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU), reopened its registration and conducted another screening of aspiring student-journalists which started last January 15 at the Student Publication office, CTE Building 2.

Applicants demonstrated their knowledge and skills in various fields including photojournalism, broadcasting, and article writing among others.

TIP is expected to accommodate more aspiring student-journalists toward the end of the month.

𝗭𝗣𝗣𝗦𝗨 e𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 e𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 p𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱, i𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 s𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) through its various offices improved its system and extended its enrollment period for the second semester from January 13-18, to accommodate students who are not yet registered and officially enrolled.

The university's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) team, working with a dedicated group of student volunteers, ensured a well-organized and efficient enrollment process.

They were stationed at various points within the campus to assist students with any questions or concerns, and to direct them to concerned offices and authorities as needed.

Their presence significantly reduced wait time and contributed to a positive overall experience during the enrollment process.

The classes for the current semester are scheduled to begin on January 20. Hence, the university anticipates a good turnout for the semester, built from the success of the previous semester.

ZPPSU starts 2025 with First Friday Mass

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) faculty, staff, students, and key officials started 2025 with a special First Friday Mass held today, January 3, 2025, at Angara Building. The service was a time of reflection, prayer, and shared aspirations for a new year.

The mass, sponsored by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and led by Rev. Fr. Nam Keil Ho, focused on the messge of God's love and the hope for peace. Father Ho's message emphasized the blessing of a new year, a time to renew our commitment to faith and to strive for peace within our families and amongst humanity. His words resonated deeply with the attendees, setting a positive and hopeful tone for the year ahead.

Father Ho's message of peace and faith served as a powerful reminder of the importance of unity and hope in the face of adversity.

The ZPPSU community carried this message with them as they began the new year.

Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University's Muslim Students Association Women's Affairs Committee marked a significant milestone today, January 3, 2025, with their inaugural First Friday Symposium held at the ZPPSU Senior High School Laboratory. The event carried the theme, "Beyond the Fabric: How ZPPSU-MSA Explores the Hijab as a Symbol of Empowerment and Identity."

The symposium was graced by Sister Khadija Abdulhamid Nasilin, a respected advocate for women's rights and cultural awareness. She delivered an inspiring talk on the deeper meanings of the hijab, highlighting it not only as a symbol of religious devotion but also as a powerful representation of self-expression, resilience, and cultural identity.

Participants engaged in vibrant discussions, delving into how the hijab empowers women to assert their individuality and faith amidst societal challenges.

The event also emphasized the importance of unity and mutual understanding among students from diverse backgrounds.

This first of its kind gathering sets a precedent for future initiatives by the MSA Women's Affairs Committee, fostering a supportive space for dialogue, empowerment, and inclusivity within ZPPSU.

As we continue the academic year, please be informed that the signing of clearance for Student Publication Adviser will start on Thursday, January 2, 2025. You will be entertained in the morning (8-11am ONLY) and in the afternoon (1-4pm ONLY) following the schedule given below.

The requirements for signing of clearance are the following:
• Must like and follow THE INDUSTRIAL PIONEER
• Must react and share THE INDUSTRIAL PIONEER schedule post
