Improvements & Bug Fixes 🛠️
- Poison will now deal DMG before cards are drawn at the start of turn
- Fixed a bug where if Mavis get killed by Turnip, the Energy reduction effect will last the whole match
- Fixed a bug where the status effect "Meditate" lasted for 4 turns instead of 2
- Fixed a bug where the Rune "Cursed Ritual" applied its full effect even though there weren't any curse cards in the player's deck
- Fixed the animation of Multihit attacks
- Fixed a bug where the tool card "Pure Water" stayed in hand even though it had been used
- Fixed a bug where after a player linked their account, they would get an error from friends list
- Fixed a bug where if the battle ended from Blood Moon, players could still get 1 more turn
- Fixed a bug where the Milestone bar in Adventure Mode displayed the incorrect progression
- Fixed a bug where in some cases, Wall Gecko would stack by %
- Updated missing localization for various parts of the game

Multi-Accounting Not Allowed in Origin

When Origin Early Access was launched, we allowed Trainers to play on multiple accounts without restrictions so that we could gather as much data and feedback as possible.

Starting Phase 2, this will no longer be allowed since AXS will be rewarded to the Top 10K players after the Alpha Season.

Ronin Bridge Opening

Our engineering team has been hard at work preparing for the Bridge to re-open. Things are progressing nicely and we have some more information to share with you today.

• We plan on re-opening the Ronin Bridge on June 28th, with all user funds returned.
• The Bridge opening is contingent on a Ronin hard-fork which requires all validators to update their software.
• Validators have been informed regarding next steps to upgrade their validating node.

Lunacian Codes Public Testing is Live!

Key highlights:

Public testing starts now for Lunacian Codes, our new experimental referral program.

It will be funded by the ecosystem fund during testing.

We’re currently testing the implementation of custom codes for creators and will share more on this later. In the meantime, creators can proceed with non-custom code registration and help us begin testing immediately!*

The Axie community is a portal into Web3. Many of you have put extraordinary efforts into onboarding your friends, connections, and family members into this community.

To reflect our commitment to rewarding your onboarding efforts, we are piloting an experimental referral feature called Lunacian Codes!

Lunacian Codes is a first-of-its-kind web3 referral program that allows community members to participate in the value they help create when onboarding new players and showing helpfulness to existing players.

How does it work?

When a Lunacian Code is used, 1% from the 4.25% marketplace fee will be sent to the referrer

When a code is not used, the entire 4.25% goes into the Community Treasury, as usual

Once per month, Sky Mavis will use the Ecosystem Fund to FULLY REFUND the Community Treasury for the sum total of reward payouts during that period

This feature is in preparation for the increased onboarding that will occur as we improve Origin and continue to add new experiences to the Axie universe

We’ve been listening very closely to all the feedback around Origin, here is some of our latest thinking and plans for it. There are multiple phases before a Global Launch:

1. Making the game more competitive
2. Testing crafting progression
3. Introducing SLP & NFT Runes/Charms

-Making the game more competitive with a higher in-match skill cap is a top priority. We have looked through many of your ideas and are exploring many of them including hiding shield usage and using energy to put a card in-hand to the top of the deck.

-We also have many more bug fixes and balance updates to implement. Fixing these issues and implementing new competitive features will potentially take a couple of months depending on the technical complexity of different features.

-Once we have increased the competitiveness of the game and fixed more issues, we will completely reset MMR / Charms / Runes / Moonshards, at which point players will need to earn Moonshards to craft. During this period, we will monitor and optimize the crafting system.

-When the crafting system has been validated, we will migrate SLP over from Classic to Origin, as well as introduce NFT Charms / Runes with SLP crafting requirements. We will monitor and optimize the SLP rewards and crafting requirements so that it will be balanced.

-Finally, with all of those components ready to go we will launch an official Season 1 for Origin! See less

Ronin Wallet Browser Extension Update

Ronin Wallet 1.9.0 has been released.

We will release an update to the Ronin Wallet browser extension for Chrome and Firefox in an hour. This update adds a new major feature that allows the wallet to check if you visit a phishing site. If so, we will alert you with the image below. Your privacy is important to us, so the URL check is performed locally on your computer and is not sent back to Sky Mavis. This feature will reduce the number of successful scams.

Approve Ronin Wallet Permissions
The Ronin wallet will be disabled and require you to approve the new permissions. This is expected, and you can approve the new permissions.

If you don't see your Ronin Wallet, please visit chrome://extensions/ on your browser and re-enable it.

Being at Sky Mavis for the past months, I’ve learned a lot about how the company has operated. I wanted to share a bit more context, history, and plans around SLP that I think would be helpful for the community to know more about.
I’ll be the first to say that SLP as a game resource does not have a balanced system in its current state. However, it can and will be balanced.
In a Web2 game, having an inflationary utility resource would matter less (e.g. in Pokemon GO, Stardust is inflationary but not a major issue, players just use it as they need to power-up Pokemon). However, in Web3 it matters a lot more due to it having a real-world value.
SLP was meant to be a utility token to simply breed more Axies that people might want, however of course it has evolved into much more than that. We understand its importance to our community and it's a priority to bring balance to it.
The big question people might have is, why haven’t we done anything about it sooner? Why aren’t we dropping everything to do something about it right now? There is some nuance to that, which I'll try to share here given my experience at Sky Mavis so far.
Early last year, the team was tiny and had a long-term plan around the evolution of the game into Origin and releasing foundational tech to be able to scale over time (Katana, RON, etc). When the meteoric growth happened, resources were diverted toward keeping everything running.
Then the team had to consider how to approach the roadmap going forward. The culture within Sky Mavis given its history of building through bear markets has always been extremely leaning towards long-term thinking.
Everything has a trade-off, and if the team decided to focus on building short-term features for V2 then Origin and Ronin tech would have been pushed out significantly. Also, any short-term features built would all be thrown out eventually and need to be built again in Origin.
Every company needs to find the right balance for this. Constantly fighting short-term fires and you never end up building long-term scalable value. Focus too much on long-term scalable value and the short-term fires can kill you before you get there.
Sky Mavis and Axie Infinity will not be killed by this short-term fire. There is funding, a clear plan, and a massive community playing this game! With that said, the current goal is still to ship Origin, ensure it is a fun game, and then implement the burn mechs as part of it.
We’ve emphasized numerous times, that the fun game component must come first. If players are not willing to spend to play, progress, and express themselves in the game then all the burn mechanisms in the world won’t matter since players won't want to spend on them.
We need to reach the state where everyone in our community loves playing the game and is willing to spend on things like Cosmetics, Runes/Charms, and Upgrades, simply to progress in the game, reach epic achievements, and show off their Axies!
This is all achievable. We already know hundreds of thousands of you are playing Origin while it has no token rewards. That is a huge signal showing that it’s a fun game people love to play just for the game itself.
The cherry-on-top for balancing will come from our many other initiatives as well including Builders Program projects and various live-ops we plan on running in the future like breeding events.
Building good games is really really hard. Anyone who has worked on a game will agree. It’s impossible to predict many issues. Delays happen. Tons of things break along the way. A single feature can take weeks to months. We appreciate our community going on this journey with us.
I hope some of this context is helpful for the community to know where we’re coming from and know that we will be here to balance the economy and make Axie Infinity way more awesome no matter what, for a long, long time to come.

Our thinking on balancing the SLP economy -
Crafting NFT Runes & Charms will be significant additions to SLP’s utility. As many of you know now, Runes & Charms are essential in Origin.
To craft the advanced versions, players will need to use a combination of earned SLP and Moonshards to craft them. Some Runes & Charms will still be craftable solely with Moonshard ingredients.
Charms & Runes that require SLP to craft, will be eligible to be minted into NFTs and traded in the marketplace.
NFT Charms & Runes crafting will be the most significant near term utility for SLP, however, there are other features in the roadmap that will further contribute to balancing its economy -
One of them is Axie Body Part Accessories, where players can obtain NFT cosmetics their Axies can wear through Releasing Axies. Just a reminder that Axie Releasing directly contributes to SLP usage: More Axies Released > More Axie Demand > More Breeding > More SLP burned.
In the future, as we introduce In-App Purchase systems, we would like to allow players to purchase cosmetics directly using SLP as well.
The other major feature which you have probably already heard a lot about before, is Axie Upgrading. This is where Body Parts can be upgraded, likely using a combination of unique resources from Releasing Axies, playing the game, and SLP directly.
These are just some of the features we are looking into that will help balance the SLP economy, but there are of course infinitely more ideas. Please let us know any of your ideas and feedback!
