As I have a lot of friends getting Hacked on their Social media platforms here is what I would recommend to do once you have identified you got compromised:

1. Immediate Actions:

-Change Password: If they still have access to their account, they should change their password immediately.
-Log Out of Other Sessions: Use the "Where You're Logged In" feature to log out of any suspicious sessions.

2.Account Recovery:

-Report Compromised Account: Use Facebook’s "Report Compromised Account" feature to regain access.
-Identity Verification: Be prepared to provide identification or answer security questions if required.

3. Secure Email Account:

-Check Email Security: Ensure that the email account associated with the Facebook account is secure. Change its password and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).

4. Review Account Activity:

-Check for Unauthorized Changes: Look for any changes in account settings, added email addresses, or phone numbers.
-Review Posts and Messages: Check for any posts or messages sent by the hacker and delete them.

5. Enhance Security:

-Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of security by enabling 2FA for the Facebook account.
-Update Security Questions: If Facebook uses security questions, update them to something only the user knows.

6. Notify Contacts:

-Inform Friends and Family: Let them know about the hack to prevent them from falling for scams or phishing attempts that might come from the compromised account.

7. Report to Authorities:

-File a Report: If sensitive information has been compromised, consider reporting the incident to local authorities or a cybercrime unit.

8. Stay Informed:

-Follow Security Best Practices: Encourage them to stay updated on the latest security practices and be cautious about suspicious links or messages in the future.
