Steve Mensch, President of Tyler Perry Studios, d*es in Citrus County plane crash. 🙏🏾

According to Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Steve Mensch, the 62-year-old pilot of a single-passenger airplane, was found deceased as state troopers arrived at the scene of the crash in Homosassa, Florida on Friday night.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.

Tyler Perry Studios released a statement, expressing their sadness over the tragic loss of Mensch.

“We are incredibly saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Steve Mensch. Steve was a cherished member of our team for more than 8 years, and well beloved in the community of Atlanta. It is hard to imagine not seeing him smiling throughout the halls. We will miss him dearly. Our heart goes out to his family as we all send them our prayers.”

“I love working with Mariah. She’s so brilliant, and her voice is incredible. Just the way she sings, the way it hits your ear like a trumpet. I haven’t really heard too many voices that do that to me. She’s amazing. People don’t be giving her the credit that she deserves. She is incredible.”

“But, just like…..arranging and learning how to be. She taught me about lighting. She’s just amazing to be around. Some people are just so full. They’re just rich. Just a wealth of knowledge. Just being in her presence, you learn so much.”
