Our Story

Northern Root Records is a private recording studio and an emerging record label which was founded by Ruth Resuello. This Record Label based in San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City in partnership with Backyard Sessions and Harold Mateo Home Studio by Harold Mateo of Earth to Elisha which is located in Tuguegarao City and Tuao, Cagayan, Philippines. It recently opened Music Production and DJ tutorials and musical instrument tutorials (for kids, teens & adults) as well. The Northern Root Records aims to provide help and support local bands and artists around Cagayan with affordable but high quality of music. Ruth Resuello (Record Label founder, Producer) is a 23 year old Indie Solo Artist from Cagayan. She started recording and mixing at the age of 17 and at the age of 19, she produced her 1st self titled album whichi is available in iTunes and Spotify. She recently released her 2nd Album titled "No Friends Like Old Friends" under Random Hero Records last 2015. And now she is producing her own music now under her own record label and will be releasing her 3 new albums titled "Sea of Forgiveness", "Live Life Love Life" and Keep Going". Her single "Malay Mo" topped the local radio charts. "Blue Skies" was feature in Radio Republic as one their Staff Picks. Her new christmas single, Music Video titeld "Maligayang Pasko Sa'yo" was aired and featured at ABS-CBN Global (TFC) of their segment INDIEmand last 2015. She is a Registered Pharmacist by profession and a graduate of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with Distinction at Centro Escolar University. She is also a well rounded musician and is also currently taking up a Music Production Degree in Berklee College of Music (online degree). Harold Mateo (Audio Engineer) is a 20 year old solo artist and well rounded musician of the band Earth to Elisha. He started recording and mixing at the age of 14 and had his own home recording studio at the age of 16. He started producing his own songs at the age of 17. He owns his own recording home studio in Tuao, Cagayan where he practices and improves his music mixing skills. He is a licensed Civil Engineer and will be taking his Music Production Degree soon. We offer single/album recordings, song cover recordings, drum cover recordings, guitar tracking, drum tracking, bass tracking, keyboard/synth tracking, vocal recording, song arrangement services and simulated drum tracking. We also have song registration and song patenting services. We also offer CD/EP/ALBUM production for bands/artists who has a dream to have their music be mass produced. We will open officially this coming 2018. We still have to make our name known, establish our sound quality and to build your trust in our music production capabilitie and tutorial expertise.
