We had the opportunity to illustrate the comic ๐’๐”๐๐„๐‘ ๐‰, which marks my first full comic creation. From sketching the character to developing the storyline and completing the entire content, this project has been a truly fulfilling experience. I am very proud of this work, especially since it will be distributed to Kinder pupils by the MDRRMO Tubod in collaboration with MSWDO Tubod. I hope it inspires them to be like Super J and perhaps encourages them to draw and cultivate a love for the arts.

๐Š๐š๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง ๐…๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ is named after rice, which in the local language is called humay, and another related word kahumayan that refers to a rice field. It is a fest that gives recognition of the work of farmers, the importance of rice and its cultivation, promotion of rice and rice recipes, and encouragement to come up with ways to increase rice productivity.

Kahumayan Festival was mounted for the first time in 2010 in Kapatagan, which is considered the rice bowl of the province of Lanao del Norte. The town is primarily an agricultural town.

In 2012, it also added the PASKOhan sa Kapatagan (Christmas in Kapatagan). It was a call for lantern-making using locally sourced and environment-friendly materials among the townโ€™s component barangays.

Aside from being a celebration of the coming Christmas season, it was also geared towards encouraging proper garbage disposal through the use of non-plastic products. These lanterns were put in an exhibit where people can purchase them.

If I were to redesign or enhance the province's logo to better represent its identity, this are the elements that I would include:

-Rice Paddies, Coconut Trees, and Banana Trees: These elements signify the province's agricultural abundance and the bountiful harvests that sustain its economy. They reflect the fertility of the land and the hard work of its farmers.

-Mountain: The mountain symbolizes strength, stability, and the natural beauty of Lanao del Norte. It stands as a testament to the province's enduring resilience and its majestic landscapes.

-Eagle Statue: At the center of the seal, the eagle statue represents freedom, power, and a visionary spirit. It embodies the aspirations and ambitions of the people of Lanao del Norte, aiming high and soaring towards progress.

-Sunrise: The rising sun in the background signifies hope, new beginnings, and a bright future. It highlights the optimism and forward-looking perspective of the province.

-Okir: The decorative okir motifs in the logo emphasize the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions of the region.
