DepEd Personnel to stay wearing the same dress code

The Department of Education stated that the current four sets of uniforms and with Friday designated as non-uniform day which were the existing prescribed uniforms would be still wear by the DepEd personnels.

The current uniform policy, established through a 2022 memorandum by DepEd's human resources office, will remain in effect as the agency works to align with new Civil Service Commission (CSC) dress code policies.

All field personnel are advised to adhere to DM- OUHROD-2022-0042 or the "Wearing of the Prescribed DepEd Uniform and Office Attire until the new internal dress code of DepEd is finalized.

According to DepEd, they have six months to draft and release new internal guidelines that will be aligned to the CSC's updated policies which was the wearing of Filipiniana angld ASEAN inspired attire for all the government employees every Mondays of the Month.

“We want to foster a more inclusive, practical, and supportive approach to uniform policies,” DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said.

DepEd's uniform committee has been instructed to oversee the selection, implementation, and monitoring of DepEd uniforms for school years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

Government workers may now receive their medical allowance as the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) approves the guidelines on the grant of the PHP7,000 medical allowance for 2025 which is in line with Executive Order (EO) 64 s. 2024 which was signed last August 2, 2024 by President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

According to Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman on Thursday that “This is the promosed fulfilled.”

"Matagal ko na pong pangarap ito para sa ating mga kababayan. Pagpasok po ng 2025, maaari na po silang makatanggap ng medical allowance para makatulong sa pagkuha nila ng HMO para sa kanilang health-related expenses o gastusin,”Pangandaman said.

The annual medical assistance will cover all civilian government personnel in the national government agencies, including state universities and colleges and government-owned and controlled corporations not covered by Republic Act 10149 and EO 150, s. 2021.

All government workers are eligible for the medical grant. Employees in the local government units and local water districts are also covered.

The allowance may be granted in the form of HMO-type product coverage, which could be availed by either government agencies concerned or their respective employees' organizations/groups.

It can also be in cash form for those who will avail their own or pay/renew their existing HMO-type benefit.
