ICYMI | 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨) is advancing its tech-enabled campus through the 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, implementing innovative tools to improve academic and administrative processes. As part of this, a comprehensive 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗟𝗠𝗦) training and facial capturing session was conducted on January 23, 2025, for faculty, lecturers, students, and staff.

The LMS, a cornerstone of the SMART CAMPUS Project, signifies a significant advancement in digital education at MarSU. This platform lets students and teachers get course materials, hand in assignments, track academic performance, and join the university's programs in a way that's easier and more fun to use. During the session, attendees were guided through the LMS’s features, emphasizing the importance of downloading and activating their institutional accounts for optimal use.

Led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗠. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗻, Information System Analyst II and Team Lead for Training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), the SMART CAMPUS Project demonstrates MarSU's commitment to innovation and digital transformation. By embracing these advancements, the university does not only enhance productivity but also equips students and faculty with modern tools for success.

As MarSU takes bold steps into the digital age, everyone at the university is encouraged to make full use of these systems, setting the stage for a brighter and more tech-driven future. The LMS training and facial capturing initiative is yet another testament to MarSU’s dedication to creating a smarter and more efficient academic environment.

The oath-taking ceremony, organized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) through the Professional Regulatory Board of Agriculture, signifies their commitment to fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the profession. As they step into the field of agriculture, they embody dedication, innovation, and promise to contribute to the growth and development of the sector.

The Marinduque State University is set to undergo the 𝖨𝖲𝖮 𝟫𝟢𝟢𝟣 𝖲𝗍𝖺𝗇𝖽𝖺𝗋𝖽 𝖲𝗎𝗋𝗏𝖾𝗂𝗅𝗅𝖺𝗇𝖼𝖾 𝖠𝗎𝖽𝗂𝗍 from February 17 to 20, 2025. This announcement was made official through Office Memorandum No. 11, s. 2025, signed by University President Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta.

During the flag raising ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Harvey A. Dulay, Campus Director of the Torrijos Campus, emphasized the importance of collective efforts in achieving this milestone. “Our preparations for the ISO Audit reflect our dedication to maintaining quality assurance and continuous improvement. We encourage faculty, staff, and students to actively support this initiative, as it represents our shared responsibility in achieving institutional excellence,” Dulay said.

MarSU’s commitment to quality is evident in its ongoing efforts to meet global standards, and the upcoming audit is another step toward solidifying its reputation for academic and institutional excellence.

The celebration reached its pinnacle with the 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕, held from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, bringing together the MarSU community for an evening of formal yet enjoyable activities. Sir Nicole P. Postrado once again led the attendance, ensuring the smooth participation of students, faculty, and staff.

Cyra Marie P. Paez, SSC Torrijos President, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of unity and collaboration within the MarSU family. An intermission number by BSA 1C representatives added vibrance to the evening, setting the tone for the night's activities.

Dinner followed, offering an opportunity for guests, faculty, staff, student leaders, and selected students to share a meal, further strengthening the bonds within the MarSU community. The highlight of the evening was the awarding ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements within the university.

The program concluded with closing remarks by Marilyn A. Mayores, Dean of the College of Agriculture, who acknowledged everyone’s efforts in making the event a success and encouraged continuous collaboration in the upcoming year. Furthermore, Ms. Fatima M. Ola served as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth progression of the evening.

This year-end celebration was a testament to the vibrant community spirit and dedication to excellence that defines Marinduque State University Torrijos Campus. As the university looks forward to 2025, the event served as a memorable conclusion to a productive year.

The event began with a warm welcome as Sir Nicole P. Postrado, SSC Torrijos Secretary, efficiently handled the registration process, ensuring smooth participation of students and staff.

The program officially opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by an inspiring prayer. 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒚 𝑨. 𝑫𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓, graced the event with his opening remarks, reflecting on the year’s remarkable achievements and extending his gratitude to the university’s dedicated community.

The session featured engaging intermission numbers from BSA 1B representatives, lively parlor games, and an exciting raffle draw that thrilled the audience. Students and officers actively participated in these activities, showcasing their talents and camaraderie.

Among the successful passers, 𝟖 first-time takers achieved an impressive 𝟖𝟎% success rate, while the returning examinee demonstrated remarkable determination, achieving a perfect 𝟏𝟎𝟎% passing rate. This outstanding performance highlights the dedication of MarSU Torrijos students and faculty in fostering a culture of excellence and tenacity in agricultural education.

𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Sa loob ng mga araw ng tagisan ng talino, lakas, at disiplina, isang matagumpay na kabanata ang naisulat ng mga atleta ng Marinduque State University – Torrijos Campus, Kolehiyo ng Agrikultura, sa ilalim ng selebrasyon ng Students Week 2024. Hindi lamang sila mga mag-aaral na nagbibigay ng mahalagang kontribusyon sa larangan ng agrikultura, kundi pati na rin sa larangan ng palakasan, kung saan kanilang ipinamalas ang kanilang dedikasyon at kahusayan.

Bawat pagtakbo, bawat hampas ng bola, at bawat pagsipa ay sumasalamin sa kanilang pagsusumikap at pagsasanay. Sila ay naging halimbawa ng pagkakaisa at determinasyon, nagbigay inspirasyon hindi lamang sa kanilang mga kapwa atleta kundi sa buong komunidad ng MarSU Torrijos. Ang kanilang tagumpay sa bawat laro ay isang patunay na ang disiplina at tiyaga ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa loob ng silid-aralan, kundi pati na rin sa mga labanang nagbibigay ng sigla sa mga kapwa nila mag-aaral.

Sa bawat pagkapanalo at kahit sa mga pagkakataong hindi sila nagtagumpay, ipinakita nila ang tunay na diwa ng sportsmanship—isang kalidad na nagpapakita ng malasakit, respeto, at pagpapahalaga sa bawat isa, kaalyado man o katunggali. Sa kanilang tagumpay, hindi lamang tropeo at medalya ang kanilang naiuuwi, kundi ang pagbubuklod ng isang kolehiyong may pusong bayani para sa kanyang mga kapwa estudyante at sa komunidad na kanilang kinabibilangan.

Kami ay saludo sa inyong dedikasyon, sipag, at puso para sa larangan ng palakasan. Patuloy ninyong ipinamamalas na ang mga estudyante ng Kolehiyo ng Agrikultura ay hindi lamang mahusay sa agrikultural na kaalaman, kundi may matibay na pangarap at kakayahan na magtagumpay sa anumang hamon ng buhay.

Muli, isang mataas na pagpupugay sa inyo, mga atleta ng Kolehiyo ng Agrikultura, sa inyong walang kapantay na dedikasyon at sigasig sa Students Week 2024! Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang inyong tagumpay sa mas marami pang kabataang nais tahakin ang daan ng pagkakaisa at tagumpay. 🌱

The Department of Agriculture - MIMAROPA, through the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), recently hosted an empowering training program titled "𝖤𝗆𝗉𝗈𝗐𝖾𝗋𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖸𝗈𝗎𝗇𝗀 𝖥𝖺𝗋𝗆𝖾𝗋𝗌." Themed "𝖬𝖺𝗌𝗍𝖾𝗋𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖤𝖿𝖿𝖾𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗏𝖾 𝖢𝗈𝗆𝗆𝗎𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇, 𝖫𝖾𝖺𝖽𝖾𝗋𝗌𝗁𝗂𝗉, 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖭𝖾𝗀𝗈𝗍𝗂𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝖤𝗇𝗍𝗋𝖾𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗇𝖾𝗎𝗋𝗂𝖺𝗅 𝖲𝗎𝖼𝖼𝖾𝗌𝗌," the workshop aimed to equip young farmers with essential skills to help them thrive in the agricultural sector. Held on October 24-25, 2024, in the conference hall of Boac Hotel, this initiative supported the agricultural aspirations of young participants, enhancing their abilities in effective communication, leadership, and negotiation.

This training recognized the unique challenges young farmers face in establishing successful agricultural ventures. By focusing on essential entrepreneurial skills, AMAD aims to build a generation of young leaders in agriculture who can effectively navigate industry demands and seize opportunities.

Among the participants were five representatives from Marinduque State University - Torrijos Campus, College of Agriculture, including Jahnine Moscoso, John Manuel P Permejo, Diane Franchesca Piguerra, Val Jian Ricafrente, and Mark Joseph De Luna. Their involvement not only enriched their skill sets but also highlighted the commitment of Marinduque's youth to strengthen the local agriculture landscape. This training promises to have a lasting impact, fostering a new wave of young agricultural leaders equipped to drive progress and innovation in MIMAROPA’s farming community.

The workshop stands as a testament to the Department of Agriculture's dedication to the development of young farmers, empowering them to become not only effective entrepreneurs but also influential voices for agricultural progress.

Graziers' talented 𝖩𝖺𝗁𝗇𝗂𝗇𝖾 𝖬𝗈𝗌𝖼𝗈𝗌𝗈 proudly represented the College of Agriculture and secured the title of 2nd Runner-Up in the MarSU Festival King and Queen 2024, held at the MarSU Gymnasium. Adding to her success, Moscoso was also awarded the title of Miss Photogenic, showcasing her radiant presence and undeniable charm.

As Moscoso walked on stage with pride and confidence, the powerful support of the Graziers echoed in the MarSU gymnasium as she battled against other candidates from different delegations. Her impactful response in the Q&A segment captivated the judges and resonated with the audience, solidifying her place in the competition and bringing honor to the College of Agriculture.

Her journey toward this remarkable success, both for herself and the college, was not without its challenges. The preparation for this achievement reflects the college's dedication and unity, making her victory even more meaningful.

𝖬𝖺𝗋𝗂𝗇𝖽𝗎𝗊𝗎𝖾 𝖲𝗉𝗈𝗋𝗍𝗌 𝖢𝗈𝗆𝗉𝗅𝖾𝗑 - Graziers with pride and secured an impressive 2nd Runner-Up finish in the 4x100 meter relay. Among the standout performers were Teody Panuelos, James Motol, Jaymark Rementilla, and Cedric James Lumuntad, who represented the College of Agriculture, Oct. 16.

In an electrifying display of speed and teamwork, students from various colleges gathered at the Marinduque Sports Complex to compete in the highly anticipated relay events. The quartet showed exceptional chemistry and coordination, completing the race with a remarkable time that time of 55.84 seconds that left the crowd cheering. Their achievement is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and teamwork.

The competition brought together top athletes from colleges across the university, showcasing the best of MarSU students’ talent and sportsmanship. The event was marked by fierce rivalry, camaraderie, and a shared passion for athletic excellence.
