North Eastern Mindanao State University successfully concluded the first day of 2025 International Educatorsโ Congress with a Cultural Night, entitled โThreads of Connectionโ held at the NEMSU-Tandag Gymnasium.
The program started with an invocation and the NEMSU Hymnโperformed by the Singing Ambassadorsโfollowed by a nationalistic dance presentation by selected students from NEMSU Main Campus.
Dr. Annie Y. Samarca, the CTE Dean of NEMSU-Main Campus, delivered the welcome address, while delegates from Cantilan, San Miguel, Lianga, Tagbina, Bislig, and Tandag joined the Parade of Campuses, signaling the start of the event.
The program continued with inter-campus performances that featured local and regional traditions through dance and music. NEMSU Cantilan performed Sala Ti Mais; San Miguel presented the Binanog-banog dance; Lianga featured Sayaw ASEAN; Tagbina staged the Kaalimyon Festival dance; and Bislig shared a performance inspired by the Karawasan Festival. Meanwhile, the NEMSU Singing Ambassadors delivered cultural songs between the performances.
Following the presentations, organizers awarded certificates and tokens to the plenary speakers. In addition, NEMSU Lianga representatives received the Best ASEAN-Inspired Attire award for the male category, while NEMSU Bislig representatives received the same recognition for the female category.
Dr. Nemesio G. Loayon, University President, delivered the closing message, while students from NEMSU Main then led the community dance, followed by evening socials that marked the conclusion of the program.
