Why Do We Judge?
Why do we judge without knowing why,
Blaming the pain, saying he defied?
Illness strikes, and rumors fly,
"He ignored God, that’s why he cried."
His family’s struggling, folks declare,
Missed a prayer, now in despair.
Bankrupt now, they criticize,
Didn’t give tithes, now pays the price.
A disciple asked, searching hearts,
"Who sinned and played a tragic part?"
Jesus answered, pure and clear,
"Neither sinned, let’s make it clear."
This happened so God’s light could shine,
Through every trial, His grand design.
Judge not the fall, nor others’ plight,
For God calls us into the light.
Living rich but blind to grace,
Is a life lived in a hollow space.
I’d rather walk with humble heart,
With God’s presence from the start.
Consequences teach us, it’s true,
But God’s love works through and through.
In every tear, in every trial,
God’s purpose shines, makes it worthwhile.
Who are we to cast the blame,
Tie misfortune to sin’s name?
Remember the blind man in Jesus’ time,
Not cursed, it was a sign.
The works of God displayed,
In every hardship, every shade.
In every struggle, every crusade,
God's love and purpose won't fade.
