We are fortunate to announce that ACCESS 5 Inc, a vital stakeholder of Department of Information and Communications Technology Regional Office 8, had actively participated in the Regional Consultation for National Broadband Plan 2.0 and Emergency Communications Plan was from May 7 to May 9, 2024.

The event was a priceless chance for us to influence the evolution of digital interconnection and crisis communication systems planning in our region.

📡 Today, we had the privilege of hosting a Ham Radio Orientation Seminar at the Tabon-tabon, Leyte Gymnasium. With 54 attendees present, including representatives from DICT Regional Office 8, PNP Tabon-tabon, and BFP Tabon-tabon, the event was a remarkable success.

Special thanks are due to Honorable Mayor Efren D. Redoña, Ma. Theresa P. Peregrino - LDRRMO II, Tabon-tabon MDRRMO, and Herman I. Bibar, DV5BFH, president of ACCESS 5 Tabon-tabon, for their invaluable contributions.

The importance of being a ham radio amateur cannot be overstated. In times of crisis and emergencies, ham radio operators play a crucial role in communication, often being the lifeline when traditional channels fail. Today's seminar provided invaluable knowledge and skills, empowering participants to be better prepared and equipped to serve their communities in times of need.

A grass fire broke out tonight in Barangay 101 New Kawayan. Thankfully, the fire was swiftly contained thanks to the quick response of our brave firefighters and volunteers.
