A notorious member of the Maute group along with two other cohorts were nabbed during the implementation of a Search Warrant in Marantak, Lanao Del Sur on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
PNP Chief, Police General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr. disclosed the identity of the suspect as a certain Mastura Disomala, 43, a former Barangay Chairman who is maintaining private armed groups that are linked to DI-Maute Group.
During the operation, his companions Samen Mamasao and Moca Giambal were also arrested.
During the search, the following fi****ms and ammunition were discovered and seized:
* One unit M16 with Scope AFP Property Caliber 5.56 with SN. DL162793;
* One unit M16 C**t Cal. 5.56 with SN. 9051451;
* One unit M14 Rifle with SN. 420879;
* One unit Ingram Cal. 9mm with SN.152556;
* One unit C**t Officers ACP Cal. 45 with SN. 165471;
* One Hand Gr***de;
* One magazine of Cal 5.56 rifle with 20 live Ammunition;
* Two magazines of Cal. 7.56 rifle with 29 live Ammunition;
* One (magazine of Ingram 9mm with 13 live ammunition; and
* One magazine of Cal.45 with 7 live ammunition.

The armed suspects may pose threat to the communities, notwithstanding reports tagging them as local terrorists. This is a major accomplishment in our fight against insurgency and terrorism but the quest to achieve peace and order continues and we will be relentless,β Azurin said.
