St. Theresita's School of Tabuk celebrates Bible Month on January 31, 2025, held at the school's covered court, with the theme "God's word: source of hope".

This celebration aims to honor the bible and nurture us to share the words of God.

The event started with the bible enthronement, this is essentially a dedication to prioritize the Bible in our lives, inspiring the words of God and seeking guidance from it regularly.

The event then continues with the simultaneous competition, including bible memorization, bible search, debate, and bible character portrayal, including the bible quiz bee that was held last January 27-28, 2025.

The main event of this celebration is the bible character portrayal showcasing the importance of the characters of the bible which nurture its faith and value.

The event was a huge success, fostering a deeper understanding of God's word to students and teachers, and empowering us to be the beacon of hope for the new generation.

St. Theresita's School of Tabuk, lnc. showcased their talents and excellence at the 2025 Division Schools Press Conference with a unique and profound theme: "Nurturing responsible journalism towards Bagong Pilipinas" on January 29-30, 2025 at Kalinga National High School.

Students from The Mountain Breeze publication were selected to participate in the so-called event, many of which have attained 17 awards from various categories in the individual competition for elementary and secondary levels, accompanied by their coach and school paper advisers Ms. Jervy Alecmas, Ms. Jan Frances Tabbang and Sir Ruelson Tongdo.

The 2025 DSPC is a Department of Education program aimed at enhancing students' knowledge and skills in journalism. It also provides guidance for the responsible use of media among the youth and monitors their abilities as campus journalists.

Despite others cutting short on placing, these young writers presented amazing effort and dedication to proudly represent St. Theresita's School of Tabuk. Their hard work towards continuous progression dwells within the publication to move forward and excel.

The competition is a pillar for learning, where every writer is to be faced with victory, loss and lessons. Thus, aspiring them to pursue a truthful journalist of the future.

January 20, 2025 —students from Grades 7 to 9 of Saint Theresita’s School of Tabuk participated in an Anti-Bullying Seminar with the theme, "Choose Respect, Empower, Educate, Inspire," held at the STS covered court. The seminar, led by Mrs. Rosemelinda T. Nalog aims to raise awareness of the effects of bullying.

Mrs. Nalog engaged the students with an educational activity wherein 5 chosen students from different grade levels will portray different types of bullying: cyberbullying for Grade 7, social bullying for Grade 8, and physical bullying for Grade 9. Each student delivered an outstanding performance, effectively illustrating their role and showing the harmful effects of bullying.

In her presentation, she highlighted the importance of Republic Act 10627, also known as the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 which aims to protect students from being bullied. She emphasized the role of teachers, parents, and students in creating a safe environment.

This seminar is one of the school’s ways of preventing bullying effectively inside and outside the school compound. Seminars like this are crucial for every school, it is to raise awareness and let those who are being bullied speak up for themselves. This gives students knowledge of the physical, emotional, and mental effects of bullying.

"Kabataan Tara na, sa crime prevention kaisa ka.” Ginanap sa paaralan ng Santa Theresita ang isang mahalagang seminar noong Enero 21 na pinangunahan ng PNP Tabuk at lokal na pamahalaan ng Tabuk City. Layunin ng programa na magbigy kaalaman sa mga mag-aaral ng Grade 10 at 11 hinggil sa crime prevention at iba’t ibang batas na naglalayong maprotektahan ang mga tulad nilang kabataan.

Dumalo si Sir Oliver Mendoza at Lieutenant Benzon B. Macli-ing ng PNP Tabuk upang magbigay ng mahalagang mensahe sa mga kabataan tungkol sa kanilang mahalagang papel sa paglaban kontra krimen. Isang mahalagang talakayan ang isinagawa ni Police Chief Master Sergeant Ford A. Wassig hinggil sa panganib na dala ng droga. Ipinamahagi niya ang kaalaman ukol sa mga epekto ng droga sa kalusugan, pag-aaral, at sa hinaharap ng mga kabataan. Kasunod nito ay ang pagtalakay ni PSS Maila Bocad hinggil sa Republic Act No. 8353 o Anti-Rape Law of 1997, kung saan ipinaliwanag niya ang mga probisyong may layuning protektahan ang kababaihan laban sa karahasan.

Si PSSG Arnel G. Banatao naman ang nagturo tungkol sa Republic Act 11313 o ang Safe Spaces Act na mas kilala bilang Bawal Bastos Law. Sa kanyang talakayan, ipinaliwanag niya ang mga aspeto ng batas na tumutugon sa sexual harassment sa mga pampubliko at pribadong espasyo. Samantala, ipinaalala ni PSS Noeh Baron ang kahalagahan ng Anti-Bullying Act at ang responsibilidad ng bawat isa sa pagpapanatili ng ligtas na kapaligiran sa paaralan at komunidad.

Bilang pagtatapos ng seminar, ibinahagi ni Sir Khevin S. Parungao ang kanyang pasasalamat sa mga guest speaker na nagbahagi ng kanilang mga nalalaman. Ipinaalala niya na ang mga ganitong programa ay lubhang mahalaga sapagkat masisiguro nito na ang mga kabataan ay magiging responsableng mamamayan sa hinahaharap.

Ang seminar ay nagbigay ng mas malalim na kaalaman at binigyang inspirasyon rin nito ang mga mag-aaral upang sila ay magtulungan sa pagtataguyod ng ligtas na pamayanan at maging isang mabuting miyembro ng komunidad. Inaasahan na sa tulong ng mga adbokasiya at impormasyon na ipinaalam ay mas magiging alerto, handa at mapanuri ang mga mag-aaral sa hinaharap.

Safeguarding our students remains a top priority at St. Theresita's School of Tabuk, Inc. In line with this, the Guidance Counselor and Prefect of Discipline offices spearheaded a one-day 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 with the theme: “𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣, 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙉𝙖! 𝙎𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙆𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖!”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speakers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the City Local Government Unit of Tabuk (CLGU) for equipping our youth with the knowledge and motivation to take an active role in building a safer community.

Dinaos ng mga mamamahayag mula sa publikasyon ng Saint Theresita's Scool of Tabuk, ang Mountain Breeze, ang isang workshop noong Enero 15-16, 2025, na ginanap sa AVR.

Naisagawa ang training-workshop bilang preparasyon sa nalalapit na Division Schools Press Conference, at upang mahasa iba't ibang kategorya na maaaring taglayin ng mga mamahayag.

Tatlong tagapagsalita ang inanyayahan upang magbahagi ng kanilang kaalaman at magbigay-inspirasyon sa mga estudyanteng mamamahayag. Sa unang araw ng programa, tinalakay ni Ginoong Joshua B. Lasegan ang mga mahahalagang aspeto ng pagsusulat ng balita, pag-uulo, at pagsulat sa agham at teknolohiya. Sinundan ito ng diskusyon ni Ginang Lasinda Pangsiw na nagbigay ng mga gabay ukol sa pagsusulat ng kolum at lathalain.

Sa ikalawang araw ng workshop, pinangunahan ni Ginoong Vincent Valenzuela ang talakayan ukol sa pagsulat ng isports at editoryal. Ang bawat sesyon ay nilapatan ng aktwal na pagsasanay upang mas mahasa ang kakayahan ng mga kalahok sa kani-kanilang napiling larangan.

Bilang pagtatapos, ginawaran ng pagkilala ang mga kalahok na nagpakita ng husay at dedikasyon sa kanilang mga gawaing pampamamahayag. Ang nasabing workshop ay naging matagumpay at nagbigay-inspirasyon sa mga mag-aaral na ipagpatuloy ang kanilang landas sa pagsusulat bilang ambag sa kaalaman at impormasyon sa kanilang komunidad.

Tabuk City Hall—Bagama't hindi nakamit ang unang pwesto, ipinamalas ng NTD (Northern Tabuk District) ang kanilang husay sa katatapos lamang na City Meet Chess Tournament noong ika-9 at ika-10 ng Enero sa City Hall. Sa pagtatapos ng laban, nagtapos ang NTD sa ikatlong puwesto na may kabuuang anim na puntos, pinangunahan ni Hezalyn Guinapon mula sa STS Tabuk sa gabay ni Sir Marvin Galano.

Samantala, nangibabaw sa pakikipagtagisan ang ETD (Eastern Tabuk District) na nakakuha ng 12 puntos, dahilan upang makamit nila ang unang pwesto at ang pagkakataong sumabak sa CARAA (Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association) Games nitong Pebrero. Pumapangalawa naman sa pwesto ang STD (Southern Tabuk District) na nagtala ng 6.5 na puntos.

Huli man sa pwesto ay nagkamit pa rin ang WTD (Western Tabuk District), na may tatlong puntos. Sa kabila ng resulta, pinuri ang lahat ng kalahok para sa kanilang kahanga-hangang estratehiya at dedikasyon sa larangan ng chess.
Sa kabila ng matinding kompetisyon, naipamalas ng NTD ang dedikasyon at kahusayan sa bawat laro, dahilan upang sila’y tumanggap ng karangalan at papuri mula sa kanilang mga kapwa manlalaro, tagapagsanay, at kani-kanilang mga paaralan.

Saint Theresita’s School of Tabuk’s student-athletes brings home multiple awards after competing in the Taekwondo City Meet securing spots for the CARAA 2025, held at Kalinga National High School gymnasium on January 9-12 2024.

While balancing sports with their academics the athletes’ hard work and sacrifices paid off. Proudly representing their district, their discipline, perseverance, and dedication brought them to the victory they aim for.

This opportunity displays not only their athletic skills but also their ability to inspire young athletes to strive and pursue their passion in sports. The team’s path aims to be another chapter filled with success, growth, and hard work.

With a powerful throw and swift dash, Mae Viloria bagged awards showcasing her skill, determination, and sportsmanship while representing Northern Tabuk District in the Track and Field events held at Tabuk City National High School on January 9-10, 2025.

Mae Viloria displayed her best effort in the discus throw but fell short of the top spot. Undeterred, she demonstrated remarkable determination by excelling in the shot put, securing a silver medal.

Her momentum continued in the javelin event, where she hurled with all her strength, earning a gold medal and the honor of representing Tabuk City at the CARAA meet.

Meanwhile, Ms. Angeliba Biluan of Northern Tabuk District displayed impressive speed in the 200m dash but, unfortunately, did not secure a place.

The competition aimed to strengthen the athletes' skills and inspire them for future challenges. It wasn’t just about winning but also about the invaluable experience gained. The event united the community and highlighted how sportsmanship and growth are as important as the results.

CASIGAYAN, Enero 9-10 — Ang hiyaw ng tagumpay ng mga manlalaro ang namayani sa Casigayan Elementary School sa naganap na City Meet Table Tennis Tournament. Ipinamalas ng mga manlalaro mula sa NTD ang kanilang galing at determinasyon sa kabila ng matitinding hamon mula sa mga kalaban sa STD team, sa gabay ng kanilang masigasig na coach na si Ms. Jervy Alecmas.
Sa bawat rally, makikita ang mataas na antas ng kasanayan, estratehiya, at puso ng bawat manlalaro. Ang kanilang mga serve ay nakamamangha, at ang kanilang depensa ay matatag, dahilan upang magkaroon ng kapanapanabik na bakbakan sa bawat puntos. Ang bawat laro ay naging patunay ng dedikasyon at pagmamahal nila sa larangan ng table tennis.
Bagamat mahigpit ang labanan, bitbit ng bawat manlalaro ang diwa ng sportsmanship at pagkakaisa. Ang resulta ng kompetisyon ay hindi lamang tagumpay sa scoreboard kundi pati na rin sa puso ng mga manlalaro at tagasuporta.

𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘| 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗦, 𝗦𝗧𝗦! 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔, 𝗦𝗧𝗦!

Christmas evening is nearing, and no one is more excited to welcome Christmas than us. The Christmas spirit flurries into life and anticipation as they willingly welcomed the season of Advent with the brightest lantern parade.

Eight schools came together, presenting each of their creative lanterns and brightly lit street dancers on December 17, 2024, to participate in the long-awaited Lantern Parade. Though falling short of the competition, STS Tabuk stood proudly as one among them and lit the streets with their own lantern and street dancing performance.

With the creative guidance, constructive criticism, and unyielding support of Sir C-jay Calipdan, the lantern makers proudly presented a masterpiece lantern. Made out of several scrapped materials repurposed to give life and light on Christmas, the lantern harbours a deep-rooted meaning, mainly showcasing the core values of the AVT recognized as the GANGSA. Each intricate detail and design is a symbol expressing different meanings that overall equates to one message of unity, hope, and harmony, especially within our community. We are united despite the difference in culture and tradition; we push forward through adversities, preserving our rich cultures as one Kalinga in Christ.

The Lantern dance highlights this meaning with their dance dedicated to represent the creativity and liveliness of yKalingas, ready to push forward and unite. A performance worth remembering. Each prop presented by the street dancers was also recycled, from straws and discarded boxes, repurposed for sparking creativity. Headed by the coaches, madam Jelly Ann Mendoza, sir Khevin Parungao, sir Jeff Mabazza, sir Ruelson Tongdo, and Ms. Jervy Alecmas, the dancers gave it every ounce of energy and determination to provide a spectacular performance.

Despite the unfortunate defeat during the competition, STS Tabuk stands proud and humble, knowing they lit the sreet the brightest and left the crowd in awe the most. Congratulations Lantern participants! You have made the Theresian family proud!

We all know the basics of Holy Communion, don't we? The bread and wine, the remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice, and the sense of community. But sometimes, it feels like we go through the motions without truly connecting with the depth of the experience. This isn't about a theological debate; it's about rediscovering the heart of what Communion means to us.

My own reflection on this deepened significant Holy Communion service on December 17th, 2024, Tuesday, at Saint Joseph Parish with Fr. Giovanni Vincent B. leading the service, and the specific date and location are marked meaningfully because they mark a time of profound personal reflection. His guidance, his words, and the palpable reverence of the service helped me focus on the personal and communal aspects of the experience. It's easy to get caught up in the specifics—the different interpretations across denominations, the historical context, the ritual itself. But what truly resonates within your soul during communion? For me, it's not just about remembering Jesus' death; it's about feeling the weight of his love, the enormity of his sacrifice, and the profound grace offered to us. The solemnity of that particular Tuesday service at Saint Joseph Parish, coupled with Fr. Giovanni's words made the experience particularly moving.

Think about the shared meal aspect. It's not just a symbolic representation; it's a tangible connection to something larger than ourselves. It's a moment of shared vulnerability, of openly acknowledging our need for grace and forgiveness. This shared vulnerability strengthens the bonds within the community, creating a sense of belonging that transcends our individual struggles. Fr. Giovanni's gentle guidance during the service particularly emphasized this sense of shared vulnerability and community. The quiet reflection following the reception on that December day remains vivid in my memory. The familiar surroundings of Saint Joseph Parish added to the sense of peace and comfort.

The bread, broken and shared, represents Jesus' broken body, willingly sacrificed for us. It's a powerful image, a reminder of the cost of love and the depth of God's compassion. And the wine, representing his blood, symbolizes the cleansing and forgiveness that flow from his sacrifice. It's not just a symbol; it's a tangible reminder of the transformative power of grace.

So, the next time you participate in Holy Communion, try to move beyond the routine. Focus on the personal connection, the intimate moment of remembrance, and the profound sense of community. Let the ritual become a springboard for deeper reflection, a catalyst for a renewed sense of gratitude and commitment. What does Communion truly mean to you? What emotions surface?
