...3,2,1🎇A magical evening was felt by hundreds of iKalingas as they witnessed the first-ever Kalinga Christmas Winter Wonderland Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 12. An opening program was first conducted, giving officials of the province, led by Governor James Edduba opportunities to share their holiday greetings to every iKalingas. Spectators were later treated with some dazzling fireworks display and artificial snowfall.
It’s a white Christmas in Balbalan! Visitors and constituents in the town were treated to snow tonight, December 1, as the municipality opened and lit its Christmas Village at the Municipal Compound.
ADVISORY: PNP Kalinga Spokesperson, PCapt. Ruff Manganip reminds the public to make sure their residences are locked before heading to the cemetery. This is to prevent unscrupulous individuals who take advantage of these times to break in and steal people’s valuables and belongings while they are out of their house.
Meantime, personnel from PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection, Red Cross, the barangays, and other agencies have been deployed to various cemeteries in Kalinga to secure and provide assistance to the public.

A vehicular traffic accident involving a motorcycle and an ‘umbak’ vehicle transpired along the national highway in Bulanao, Tabuk City past 12:00 p.m. today, October 28. As seen on the video sent to GURU Press by a netizen, the motorcycle ferrying three individuals crossed over the center island towards the other lane, throwing its occupants against the oncoming ‘umbak’. The case is still being investigated by the police. Details will be posted once information is available.
