Am I unlucky? For some reason I do. But to be honest, I haven't feel displaced by the recent Typhoon Odette due to the fact that you were there helping me reestablished. (Naka refill tag life gkan sa fountain. TP rako balik diha clash ta, ready mo.)

I would like to shout out the the world how thankful I am to my friends from Iligan Jahary Eprael TN and from Cagayan John Bronson Tumilap and his Wife Yannie they are the first to extend support.

To my brother from the US and for my brother in-law who lend us car for the transport from Surigao to Butuan thank you all.

It's been hard to recover from this typhoon Odette incident. I practice disaster risk reduction for about 7 years in the province of Surigao Del Norte. I attended several info drives and shared experiences with Ty Yolanda in Leyte and never thought that I would be affected by the damage this huge at least not now.

Currently, there is no electricity and the internet and phone signal are unstable. Even in Siargao Island, it's hard to find a good and stable signal to talk to your loved ones.

The first week of January 2022, the local electric cooperative forecasted to finish fixing service drop wires and house lines for about 4-6 months.

PLDT also updated its subscribers that services in Surigao have been restored.
