UPDATE: Patay ang 19-anyos nga helper pag-abot sa South Cotabato Provincial Hospital samtang pilason ang driver matapos nadulaan sang preno ang isa ka transit mixer truck kaina sang aga , Agosto 19 sa Sitio Valencia, Bo.6, Banga, South Cotabato .

Ginkilala ang napatay nga kabulig kay Macky Imas, 19 anyos, residente sang Bo. 10 sang nasambit nga banwa, samtang ang pilason nga driver ginkilala kay Ronnie Almobiera, 49-anyos, residente sang Barangay Little Baguio, Surallah, South Cotabato.

Gilayon naman nga gindala sa ospital ang duha apang gindeklarar sang doktor nga dead on arrival ang helper.

THE LOW PRESSURE AREA OVER THE EAST OF TAIWAN DEVELOPED INTO TROPICAL DEPRESSION “DINDO”
Location of Center (10:00 PM)

The center of Tropical Depression DINDO was estimated based on all available data at 560 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (24.7°N, 125.3°E)
Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa

Present Movement:
Westward at 20 km/h

Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:
Strong winds extend outwards up to 300 km from the center
TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNALS (TCWS) IN EFFECT
No Wind Signal hoisted at this time.
OTHER HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS
Heavy Rainfall Outlook

DINDO is unlikely to directly affect the weather condition in the country within the forecast period.

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
DINDO and the Southwest Monsoon will bring moderate seas (1.0-2.0 m) over the coastal waters of Extreme Northern Luzon. Mariners of motor bancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• DINDO is forecast to move generally northward until tomorrow morning (19 August) before turning northwestward beginning tomorrow afternoon. On the track forecast, this tropical depression may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next 12 hours. Furthermore, DINDO is forecast to cross near Ryukyu Islands, Japan from tonight to tomorrow evening.
• DINDO will likely have limited intensification within the next two days, but is forecast to reach tropical storm category by tomorrow. Rapid weakening is possible while traversing East China Sea due to unfavorable conditions.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

Mindanao will have partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds from southeast to southwest with slight to moderate seas.

Ang iya istorya amo nga nagluto siya sang batchoy bilang dugang sa iya mga baligya apang naghalin siya sang makadali kay may ginakay-o siya sa sulod sang ila balay apang sang iya pagbalik ang bata ara na sa kaldero. Posible nga nahulog ini samtang nagahampang, nga nagtuga sang mga paso halin sa dughan paidalom.

Gindala nila kag sang iya kaingod balay ang bata sa ospital apang bangud yara sa isla ang ila lugar kag halos isa ka oras ang ila pag-abot sa ospital, nadulaan man sang kabuhi ang biktima.

READ: Gasoline and kerosene prices down by over P2/liter Tuesday

- Fuel retailers are set to implement a major pump price rollback this week, marking the third straight week of downward adjustments for gasoline, and the fifth for both diesel and kerosene.

In separate advisories, Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will reduce prices per liter of gasoline by P2.45, diesel by P1.90, and kerosene by P2.40.

Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will roll back prices at 12:01 a.m. the same day.

- Gina patutukan ni Senator Joel Villanueva sa gobyerno ang pagtaas sang numero sang underemployment sa pungsod.

Bisan pa nga may pagnubo sa numero sang mga wala sing trabaho sa pungsod sa 3.1% ukon katumbas sa 1.62 milyones ka indibidwal sini nga Hunyo 2024 gikan sa nagligad nga 4.1% ukon 2.11 milyones sang Mayo 2024, ang underemployment nagtaas sa 12.1% ukon sa 6.08 milyones sa bulan sang Hunyo halin sa 9.9% ukon 4.82 milyones sang Mayo.

Ginhatagan pagtamod ni Villanueva nga ang padayon nga pagsaka sang underemployment isa ka indikasyon nga nagapadayon man ang job-skills mismatch kag kakulang sang kalidad nga trabaho sa pungsod.

Bangud sini nga problema, liwat nga nagpanawagan si Villanueva sa mga kaupod nga mamalidha nga aprubahan ang Senate Bill 2587 ukon ang Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework Act nga ginapatihan nga nagasabat sa job-skills mismatch problem sa tunga sang mga mamumugon.

JUST IN: Nanalo ng bronze medal si Nesthy Petecio matapos matalo sa boxing semi finals sa 2024 Paris Olympics.

Nanalo si Petecio sa round 1 ngunit nakabawi ang Polish boxer na si Julia Szeremeta sa round 2 at 3 para manalo ng 4-1.

Bagama't natalo si Petecio, siya ang kauna-unahang boksingero sa Pilipinas na nanalo ng back to back medals sa kanyang ikalawang pagharap sa Olympics.

Ang Pilipinas ay mayroon na ngayong 2 gintong medalya at 2 tansong medalya sa Paris Olympics.

- Patay sa pagkaipit ang driver habang malubha naman ang kanyang helper ng gumulong at lumagapak ng patagilid ang kanilang dalang 10-wheeler van-type hauler truck sa hangganan ng Malasila at Barangay Poblacion sa Makilala sa probinsya ng Cotabato nitong madaling araw ng Miyerkules, August 7, 2024.

Sa inisyal na ulat ng Makilala Municipal Police Station, mula sa Panacan, Davao City ang naturang truck, may plakang LAK 8924, may kargang bigas na ihahatid sana sa Cotabato City.

Maagap namang naka-responde sa insidente ang mga kasapi ng lokal na pulisya at mga kawani ng Makilala Municipal Police Station at naisugod agad sa pagamutan ang helper ng truck na nagtamo ng mga sugat at mga pasa sa katawan.
