Shooting Incident in Digos City

DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur – On December 19, 2024, at around 7:30 AM, this office received a report from Barangay Captain of San Roque, Digos City through phone call, about the shooting incident at Purok 7, Barangay San Roque, Digos City particularly at the house of the victim.

Upon receiving the report, mobile patrol personnel and the duty investigator were dispatched to the location for verification and investigation.

Upon arrival, they learned that the victim alias “Reynato”, Filipino, male 72 years old, married and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay San Roque, Digos City.

Base on the statement of the victim that incident was took place at around 1:55 AM of same date was shot twice by the live-in partner of his daughter (suspect) identified as alias “K” after which he immediately lock the door and hid inside their house.

Fortunately the victim was brought by the CDRRMC responder to Davao del Sur provincial hospital around 7:10 AM for medical attention which sustained a lone gunshot wound from his right back portion body.

The victim is now in the stable situation. Further, Personnel of this station are now conducting hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect.

The DCPS led by PLTCOL RETES, assure the community that ensuring public safety is our top priority.

Our personnel are actively pursuing the suspect responsible for the recent shooting incident, taking all necessary precautions to protect the victim and bring the individual to justice.

We are committed to preventing crime and will continue working relentlessly to ensure the safety of everyone in our community

WANTED PERSON FOR R**E ARRESTED

Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur, On December 19, 2024 at about 2:15 pm, personnel of Sta Cruz MPS, CIDG PFU Davao Del Sur, RID 11 PIT Davao Del Sur, 1st DSPMFC, PIU Davao Del Sur, successfully arrested wanted personality classified as Most Wanted Person identified as Alias “Nol”, 48 years old, married, a resident of Cebulan, Brgy. Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur.
The apprehension is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for R**E docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 79,772-14 AND 79,773-14 with NO BAIL recommended issued by Presiding Judge RETRINA E. FUENTES of Regional Trial Court,11th Judicial Region Branch 10, Davao City, Davao del Sur dated November 20, 2024. Subject person was arrested at Cebulan, Brgy. Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur and currently under custody of this office for proper disposition.
The Chief of Police, recognized the teamwork and professionalism of the personnel involved in the operation. This arrest demonstrates our commitment to bringing offenders to justice, especially those who prey on vulnerable individuals. We urged the community to remain vigilant and to continue supporting the police in our mission to maintain peace and order.
