The Desiccated Capital of the World
"Abay kumpleto na pala dini sa Candelaria eh! May Mcdo, Jollibee at Chowking! " Mga pangkaraniwang naririnig kapag ikaw ay napapadadaan sa bayan ng Candelaria. Halinat ating tuklasin ang bayang ito.
🍁Taong 1878 nang mabuo ang bayan ng Candelaria at mahiwalay sa bayan ng Tiaong at Sariaya ang ilan sa mga barangay na bumubuo ngayon sa Candelaria.
🍁Ang bayan din na ito ang pangalawang bayan sa Quezon na madadaanan pagkatapos ng Tiaong kung iyong babagtasin ang Maharlika Highway papuntang Bicol.
🍁Pumapangatlo ang bayan na ito sa buong probinsya na may pinakamalaking populasyon pagkatapos ng Lucena at Sariaya.
🍁Buhay na buhay din ang komersyo sa kabayanan at natatanging bayan na may malalaking branches ng bangko, supermarket, drugstore, fastfood chain at maging mall. Itinuturing ang bayan na ito na "most commercialized town" sa buong lalawigan.
🍁Bilang pag-alala sa patron na si Nuestra Señora de Candelaria tuwing buwan ng Pebrero nagliliwanag ang kabayanan ng Candelaria sa pagdiriwang ng Candle Festival.
🍁Most Induatrialized Town After Lucena. Narito rin ang malalaking desiccated coconut factories kaya't di maipapagkakaila na ito ang Desiccated Coconut Capital of the World.

Next, proceed to payment window and pay your fees. In exchange of your ID, a temporary laminated card number will be given.

BULUSAN LAKE FEES AND CHARGES
1. Protected Area Entrance Fees:
-Adult - P50.00 per person
-Students (with valid ID) - P25.00
-Bulusan Residents (with valid ID) - P25.00
-Filipino PWD, Senior Citizen, Children below 7 years old - FREE

2. Environmental Fee - P10.00

3. Parking Fees (Max. of 4 hours)

Then, you will be asked to wait for the shuttle service/e-jeepney that will take you to the lake. Unfortunately, only 3 e-jeepneys and a van are available for now. Expect long waiting time during peak hours. Let's be patient.

When the shuttle service arrives to pick you up, you will then be taken to the lake. Time to enjoy.

E-jeepneys will also take you back to the ecotourism center after your activities on the lake.

Don't forget to claim your ID before leaving the premises of Bulusan Ecotourism Center.

⚠️ What's in 📍Bulusan Lake🌿⁉️

Lake Bulusan is located within the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park. The area was first designated as a National Park in 1935 and later designated as a Natural Park in 2000 by the National Integrated Protected Areas System.

Bulusan Lake has interesting legends. It is said that a village once stood where Bulusan Lake is currently located. The legend suggests that a pagan chieftain once managed the land, and one day when he did not honor a promise he made to set his slaves free, waters came from the skies and flooded everything creating the lake. His slaves that were working in the fields survived the floods and are believed to have been the founders of the city of Bulusan.

Bulusan Lake is surrounded by a secondary growth forest that is home to a number of butterfly and bird species. Approximately 41 tree species have been identified in this surrounding forest.

There are no streams or rivers that visibly flow into the lake. The major source of water is considered to be seepage from underground water surrounding the lake.
