Man with suspended license leaves judge astonished by joining court Zoom call while driving
An American district judge in Michigan was left astonished when a man with a suspended driver's license joined a court
Zoom call while driving a car.

Court footage shows Judge Cedric Simpson's suprised reaction as the defendant, Corey Harris, joined for court hearing from the driver's seat.
"Mr Harris, are you driving?" Simpson asked the defendant.

"Actually, I'm pulling into my doctor's office," Harris says.

A public defender representing Harris then asked the judge for an adjournment for 'possibly up to four weeks if the court would allow!

"Okay, so maybe I don't understand something. This is a driving while license suspended [case], and he was just driving, and he didn't have a license," a bemused Simpson replies.

"That is correct your honor," the public defender responds.

The judge revoked Harris's bond, and he was ordered to turn himself in to the local county jail by that evening.

"I don't even know why he would do that," Simpson says.

I he All Progressives Congress, on Tuesday, dismissed the potential merger talk between the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar and the standard-bearer of the Labour Party in the election, Peter Obi.

Any court trying me is committing terrorism- Nnamdi Kanu
The embattled leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, says he cannot be tried in Nigeria because according to the Nigerian constitution, any court that tries him is committing an act of terrorism.

He claimed that any attempt to put him on trial, would amount to a breach of the Terrorism Prohibition and Prevention Act and and international laws.

Kanu stated this after Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court this morning May 20 dismissed his fresh bail application as well as his request to be moved from the DSS custody to House arrest.

A visibly angry Kanu told the court that he could not be tried in Nigeria because the Supreme Court had declared his forceful rendition from Kenya as an act of illegality. He insisted that the Supreme Court had made a pronouncement on his issue, stressing that "Anything you do on the contrary is an act of terrorism'.

He quoted Section 2, Subsection 3(f) of the Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, which he claims labels anyone or any court attempting to try him as a terrorist.

"Terrorism Prohibition and Prevention Act said that I cannot be tried in Nigeria, that is the law of Nigeria. I can never be tried in any court of law in Nigeria. That is what the law says.

Anyone standing in trial or coming to try me is a terrorist.

That is what the law says, not me. Section 2, Subsection 3 F of Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act, that is what it says. Any court continuing to try me is commiting an act of terrorism." he said
