Atung ika-6 hangtod 7 sa Setyembre, karung tuiga adunay gipahigayong “Halad Libre Serbisyo Alang sa mga Siquijodnon” sa pagsaulo sa ika-50 ka tuig sa Araw ng Bayan ng Siquijor. Ang Halad Serbisyo sa mga Katawhan Medical Mission gipanguluhan ni Maureen H. Jumawan kuyog ni Dr. Jasmin M. Reyes ug usab ni Zusan P. Siao (MSWD SWO III) kuyog ang MSWDO personnel ug ni Rio M. Malicay

Daghang mga Siquijodnon ang natabangan sa mga ahensya sa pangGoberno ug sa lokal nga pangagamhanan sa Siquijor. Adunay 14 ka ahensya ug departamento nga nakapaghalad sa 778 ka-tawo. Ang mga ahensya ug departamento nakapaghatag ug laing-laing serbisyo. Adunay libreng alot nga gikan sa Philippine Army, libreng tuli, libreng x-ray gikan sa DOH ug uban pang serbisyo.
Uban sa gipahigayong Halad Libre Serbisyo ang mga musunod nga mga ahensya ug departamento:

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Araw ng Bayan Battle of the Bands 2022
Submit your entries and get a chance to win major prizes.

Please read the guidelines and mechanics below.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:
1. The competition is open to bands residing in Negros Oriental, Cebu, Bohol, and Siquijor only.

2. Only BANDS with NO RECORDING /DISTRIBUTION DEALS from any major labels or professional music industries ARE ALLOWED to join the competition.

3. Each band should have a minimum of four (4) members and a maximum of seven (7) members for the entirety of the competition.The members of the band may be composed of all males or females, or a combination of both.

4. Only band members listed on the required document would be allowed to perform. Membership changes should be made five (5) days prior to the competition and must be relayed to the organizers immediately.

5. Replacement, swapping, filling up a band member/s from another band/s during the competition proper is/are not allowed.

6. Contestants should be of legal age (18 years old and above).

SCREENING MECHANICS:
1. All bands are required to submit two (2) videos of any live performance they have (AUDIO and VIDEO must be of GREAT QUALITY).

2. Along with the video, bands must submit a document form (.docx) containing their band name, list of members, ages, address, and contact information (mobile number/social media account).

3. Videos and documents should be submitted to Hon. Eduard Batutay's FB account. The deadline will be on AUGUST 30, 2022.

4. There is no limit to the number of bands who wish to apply for the competition and all videos will be fairly appraised for shortlisting.

5. TOP 10 BANDS who will meet the judges' standards will proceed to the FINALS (Live Performance) and will be informed/contacted immediately.

LIVE PERFORMANCES GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:
1. No free travel and accommodation expenses will be shouldered by the organizers.

2. Chosen bands are to submit immediately the song choices based on the required language and genre. A first come first serve basis will be implemented. The band will be immediately informed by the organizers if their chosen song has already been submitted by an early band/s.

3.Each band should play 3 songs:
- one (1) Cebuano/Bisaya (Love Song)
- one (1) Tagalog (Pinoy Rock)
- one (1) English (RnB Pop/Party)

4. There should be no obscene, lewd, or cuss words in the lyrics of the chosen songs.

5. Please take note that too much amplification of instruments that would obscure or overpower the volume of the vocals is not allowed.

6. Each band is given a maximum of 25 minutes on stage including preparation or set-up of instruments. One (1) point will be deducted from their total score for every minute of excess.

7. The band must bring their own instruments EXCEPT for the DRUM SET which will be provided by the organizers.

8. Band members should be responsible for their own instruments Organizers will not be liable for any lost item.

9. The entire performance must be live. No fully-programmed music of medley music arrangement is permitted.

10. Contestants should be dressed appropriately. Nudity is strictly prohibited.

11. Any Member caught under the influence of prohibited drugs or alcohol will automatically result in band disqualification.

12. Any member found guilty of disobeying any rules will result in disqualification.

13. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable. All protests will not be entertained.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:
Musicality - 40%
CREATIVITY - 20%
Voice Quality - 20%
Stage Presence (expression/showmanship) - 15%
Audience Impact - 5%
TOTAL - 100%

A grand Sports Festival kickoff was held last Saturday, June 18, 2022 where a series of activity was done.

The ceremony began with a parade participated by the teams of the local government unit, national agencies, private sectors, and business establishments and other sports-participating team.

An on-the-spot search for the Ms. Araw ng Bayan Sports Fest 2022 was done on the aftermath of the parade. 50 muses were chosen where Ms. Jennyvie A. Van Rozelaar of DepEd-Siquijor won the crown.

The 50th Araw ng Bayan Sports Festival continues as teams of different agencies and businesses compete for the championship in the name of sportsmanship.
