*Kurapika arrives at Zhang Lei's quarters and gives his thoughts on the coins. He wants to verify if there's a
difference in the engraving between the coins Zhang Lei owns and those he has transferred to others.
The coin Tenftory is holding has a different appearance from the one on the table. While the front side
(the side with the number) is identical the back designs are completely different: one shows Zhang Lei
while the other has his Guardian Spirit Beast (GSE).
To confirm this, Zhang Lei gives Kurapika a coin with the number 10' on it. As Kurapika accepts the coin, it
transforms into a coin with Zhang Lei's likeness, just like Tenftory's coin. Kurapika is hesitant to speculate
further with Coventoba watching on, but Zhang Lei says that it's fine. Kurapika suspects that the ability of
his GSB uses Conjuration and is an accumulation type. He theorizes that keeping a coin, which is a
fundamental item that circulates, for an extended period may accumulate Nen in the coin, enabling
various abilities to be activated later on.
Kurapika suggests that the number of clays required for the coin's owner to activate the Nen ability might
be, as Zhang Lei speculated, 10 to the power of 64 (640 days) He mentions that once the ability is

However, Zhang Lei has his own motives. He emphasizes that any information shared is purely to
guarantee Woble's safety, and he thinks to himself, Don't assume you're my equal, Kurapika.
*Kurapika reflects that Kakin's Mañia has maintained a balance that, although appearing fragile on the
surface, is actually strong. To break that balance, one would need to ambush and kill the heads'-in this
case, the actual heads of the Mafia are the three Princes acting as their benefactors. If an assassination
targeting the Princes were framed as the work of rival Mafia factions, it could escalate into a full-scale
Mafia war, potentially leading to the declaration of special martial law. Given Benjamin's personality,
Kurapika believes that even if Zhang Lei were to protect the youngest prince, Benjamin wouldn't hesitate to
target them. In fact, there is even a risk that Benjamin might make Zhang Lei appear as a 'pitiful victim' to
make it brutal and seem like the work of the Mafia.
Kurapika then debates whether staying in Room 1003 would make them a target for Benjamin, or if
remaining in Room 1014, where everyone is monitoring each other, would be safer despite the risk of
enemies setting traps involving the Silent Majority user or Nen. Kurapika emphasizes that both options are
dangerous and likens the choice to walking on thin ice.
•Halkenburg notes that Balsamilco who was struck by his arrow will not regain consciousness untill
Halkenburg himself falls asleep Since the diagnosis is marked as 'coma," the time it will take to confirm the
stomach flu diagnosis works in his favor, and if he asks his mother to forbid an autopsy, his death will be
attributed to unexplained organ failure.
Halkenburg's ability involves forced personality transfer. When the ability is activated, a person is randomly

However, if Halkenburg's body dies first, the person struck by the arrow regains their original
body and coexists with the original personality of Halkenburg's side. In this case, priority is

Immediately after Halkenburg's death, Balsamilco's personality returns to his original body

class could be linked to the Have Nots, finding it increasingly problematic as more uncertain
factors arise. Kurapika finds it odd that only one of Camilla's personal guards is present,
suspecting a hidden scheme. Although the letter from Melody did not mention Camilla's
secrets, Kurapika wonders if Camilla might be hiding a secret significant enough to force her
into action. He emphasizes that they have to prevent Camilla's personal guard from
approaching Woble.
*Before his death, Halkenburg left three final wishes:
1. A public announcement.
2. A farewell from his supporters.
3. A dignified transportation of his coffin by his personal guards.
Benjamin instructs Balsamilco to honor Halkenburg's last wishes and to treat him with
respect Inside Balsamilco's body, Halkenburg thanks Benjamin.
• An announcement of Halkenburg's death is broadcast on Tier 3, and Phinks, Nobunaga, and
Feitan listen to it. Phinks suggests that they hurry to Tier 4, but Nobunaga notes they have
more time thanks to Hinrigh hiding the transmitter in a hard-to-find location. Before heading
to the Heil-Ly's hideout, Nobunaga says that he wants to confirm something with the two
remaining Mafia members (the Cha-Rand Xi-Yu).
