𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐀. 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐳 brings honor and pride to CapSU Sigma Hospitality Management Department. He was titled as Magna cm laude in the 2024 commencement exercise. Celiz is not just an ordinary student. Celiz began his college life with difficulties. Through an online interview by Jezza Mae Uñada, Celiz shares advice to his juniors and to all students: 'Academic success is important, but so is maintaining a healthy balance. Make time for hobbies, social activities, and relaxation to avoid burnout. So enjoy life because life is short, and enjoy every moment of it.' Celiz stands out also as a student of CapSU Sigma, not just being a Hospitality Management student. His passion, also in being one of the student leaders on campus, added to his undeniable success.He was a secretary of Hotel and Restaurant Management in the year 2022-2023, Sentinel of Future Leader of the Philippines in the year 2023-2024, and President of The Bartenders Guild in the year 2023-2024. He was also awarded as Hospitality Management student of the year; received the Service award as President of the Bartenders Guild, and an International award. After a long series of hard work and perseverance, Celiz college life has totally paid off.

Natutuwa akong makita ang galak sa inyong mga mukha
Na alam kung ilang beses dumaan riyan ang mga luha.
Luha ng lahat ng pagod at paghihirap
Pero alam mo , alam natin , lahat ay may katumbas sa ating pagsisikap.
Sabi nga nila hindi natin agad makukuha ang tagumpay.
Kaya dapat tayo ay magsumikap ng walang humpay.
Oo, alam ko mahirap ang pagdadaanan nating proseso.
Pero walang mahirap na proseso basta gusto ng iyo puso.
Sa susunod ako naman.
Ako naman ang susuot ng itim ng toga
at ipapakita ko sa inyong lahat kung gaano ako kasaya.
Sa susunod ikaw naman.
Ipakita mo ang lahat ng iyong pagod at sakripisyo
Na siyang iyong nilabanan sa napakahabang proseso.

CapSU Sigma Satellite Colleges held a recognition day program to give awards to all academic and non-academic awardees for SY 2023-2024. The program started with the entourage of faculty and staff, and all awardees with their beloved parents. The opening prayer was led by Multi-Faith Services coordinator, Professor Jumar Q. Apoyo. The national anthem was sung after the ROTC officers arrived with the colors. CapSU Sigma College Director, Dr. Annalie G. Campos, gave her welcome address, followed by the message of Hon. Dante Rizal A. Eslabon and the President of SUC, Dr. Editha C. Alfon, who proudly delivered their messages to the awardees.

The Recognition Day program would not be complete without the keynote guest speaker, Mr. Arnold B. Flor, an alumnus of CapSU Sigma who is also a source of pride for the school. He then gave his inspirational story to encourage and motivate all awardees.

The awardees who are the main highlights of the program received their certificates for this school year's achievements. The certificates were given by the CapSU key officials. The chair of the recognition program, Professor Maria Victoria Saira D. Montefrio, gave her closing remarks. Lastly, the master of ceremony, Professor John Emmanuel L. Zereso, ended the program successfully.

"𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒈 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 3"

Pasundayag, a virtual Hospitality Management Skills Olympics with the theme "Enriching Hospitality Management Skills in the 21st Century," took place successfully on May 10, 2024, at the Hotel and Restaurant Management Organization Page. The event commenced with an introduction to the Hospitality Management Course at Capsu Sigma, followed by a prayer and the national anthem. Dr. Leizl S. Alfonso, the Chairperson of the Hospitality Management Department, delivered an inspiring opening message.

The competition featured four categories: Food Plating, Centerpiece Making, Poster Making, and Fruits and Vegetable Carving. Judging was conducted by the HM faculties, and the winners were announced after a competitive event. This platform provided participants with the opportunity to showcase their skills and expand their knowledge in hospitality management. Winners were awarded certificates and prizes for their exceptional performances.

The event concluded with a closing remark from Dr. Reynaldo G. Peralta, the Chairperson of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, expressing gratitude to all participants for their dedication to enhancing hospitality management skills in the 21st century. The event underscored the significance of staying abreast of industry advancements and how they can benefit aspiring professionals in the field of hospitality management.

"SHOWCASING CAPIZ CUISINE AT CAPIZTAHAN 2024"

Native delicacies from Pontevedra and Pilar on display
The second day of Lutong Kapisnon - a food showcase and demonstration event - took place as part of the four-day celebration (April 18-21, 2024) at SM Roxas City, Capiz, during Capiztahan 2024.

CAPSU-Pontevedra and Pilar State University held a morning session at the event, during which they showcased a local delicacy and demonstrated their cooking prowess to the audience.

The event was formally commenced with the national anthem and the Capiz hymn, performed by the CAPSU-Pontevedra regional champions. The CAPSU-Pontevedra Dance Troupe presented a highly appreciated traditional performance, followed by Dr. Jennifer P. Benliro officially opening the "Lutong Kapisnon Food Showcase and Demonstration".

Each dish told a story of culinary tradition and craft, from the enticing aroma of freshly cooked seafood to the comforting warmth of classic soups and refreshing beverages.

A gastronomic adventure of bold flavors was presented right from the start. Guests were treated to a delightful beginning with appetizers like the tangy Ginamos nga Paros sa Kalamansi, the savory Talong KBS (Kamatis, Bagoong, Sibuyas), and the tart Ginamos sa Mangga. The main course offerings, such as the crispy Pinapisik nga Manok, the soothing Ginat-an nga Bagongon sa Gabi, and the hearty Ginat-an nga Punaw sa Kapayas kag Malunggay, showcased the rich diversity of Capiznon cuisine and invited guests to savor the quintessence of Capiznon flavors.

No feast is complete without indulging in the sweet delights of Capiznon cuisine. The Bukayo, crispy Turon nga Saging kag Langka, and luscious Dolce nga Balinghoy provided a sweet conclusion to the gastronomic journey of Capiz. Complementing the delectable spread were various refreshing beverages such as the exotic Iba Shake, the tropical Cocomelon Juice, and the invigorating Tubo & Tanglad Juice, providing a perfect end to the meal.
