Sanchez Mira Institute of Lifelong Education (SMILE) celebrates a literary milestone!

We are proud to announce that our very own Lloyd Lowell Lazo, founder of Liga ng Malalayang Artista-SMILE(LMA) and Principal of SMILE, has achieved a significant honor in the Philippine literary scene. Lloyd Lowell Lazo’s poem “Sapul” has been chosen for publication in ANI, the prestigious literary journal of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

This achievement highlights the importance of preserving and promoting Filipino literature. Being included in ANI is a testament to his exceptional talent and the enduring relevance of their voice in Philippine culture.
As a school dedicated to lifelong learning and cultural enrichment, we celebrate this recognition of our leader’s creative contributions.

UPDATE!

Newly set up computers here in our Computer-TechVoc-ICT laboratory.

Our target date of usage of our laboratory will be on November 2024.

We want to inform everyone about a recent incident that has caused concern. Permission was given for a family member to donate umbrellas to the school, but instead of the individual, a political group showed up as a team without proper approval. This group used the donation as an excuse to enter the school, bypassing our rules and misleading the administration.

Please be reminded that SMILE is an apolitical institution, and we remain committed to staying neutral. The actions of this group have caused the following issues:

1. Disruption of school activities without permission.

2. Ignoring our established protocols, which must be followed by everyone.

3. Using the school for political purposes without proper consent.

Moving forward, we will make sure our rules are followed strictly to prevent any future misuse of our school. We take these matters seriously and will not allow such incidents to happen again.

UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE!

Sneak peek of our Computer-TechVoc-ICT Laboratory in partnership with Primal Technical Training Center. This laboratory shall be used by SMILE students.

With this new laboratory comes new equipment including 20 brand new computers and 10 new laptops c/o Primal Technical Training Center as part of our partnership with them.

Also, much thanks to Tai-Sai Techzone for the smooth transaction for these new computers.
