Saying “I can’t” isn’t always a form of excuse.
I was once an on-the-go type of person doing so many stuff just because I want to prove that I CAN.
And it put a toll on my health and my work.
It’s okay to admit your limits.
Accepting what you can’t do helps you figure out what you CAN DO BETTER.
Step back and rethink what you can truly achieve for yourself and your loved ones.
Remember to do the things you love and embrace your journey.
You know yourself better.

I started tricking my algorithm to so that my social media platforms won't trigger my anxiety.
I stopped hanging out on my friends’ posts and just watch informative and funny reels on my free time.
As a part of marketing industry, I can’t leave social media for a long time so l take control of what I can just consume.
You can social media detox without logging off from the platform.

The mind always seeks to deny the Now and to escape from it.
In other words, the more you are identified with your mind, the more you suffer.
Or you may put it like this:
the more you are able to honor and accept the Now, the more you are free of pain, of suffering—and free of the egoic mind.
— ECKHART TOLLE, THE POWER OF NOW.

If you expect to be happy all the time, you set yourself up for failure.
This is news to me when I read this part.
We usually hear ‘find your happiness’ all the time but only few people realised that
we humans are designed to deal with different kinds of emotions and this is part of our survival training.
Parang virus lang yan, kapag na-exposed na tayo, mas nagiging strong na tayo.
If we felt pain, grief, or sadness, we’ll know how to handle these emotions the next time we experience it.

They say, the first step to healing is...
to admit to yourself that ‘you are sick’ and ‘you need help’. 🤷♀️
With everything’s going on with my life, I started to feel overwhelmed and anxious again.
And having unstable emotions is bad for the business or work.
I chose this book as my ‘first’ for this year.
I will post my takeaways here after finishing reading it. Hopefully 😅

⚠️ Warning:
Long Taglish Vulnerability Post Ahead
I’m posting this not to get attention.
I believe this is still my safest space to drop my vulnerability side that I hardly show to anyone because I was known to be kalog with strong personality.
Yun ‘di bagay pag nagdrama ako.
Last year, I enrolled first time sa gym for two reasons:
👉🏽 To become physically healthy
👉🏽 To fight over my anxiety attacks
I was feeling motivated when I can finally do some workout routines and nakikita ko yun progress sa health ko.
Feeling ko okay na. This is it!! 😊
Madami na ulit ako magagawa kasi I’m getting healthy na.
And just when I was enjoying it, I was diagnosed with Oesteoarthritis on both knees.
Oesteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease affecting your ability to move freely.
In my case, it affects my walking, bending, sitting, jumping or even sitting activities.
Kaya pala sobrang sakit na ng tuhod ko.
It is NOT curable.
It will just get worse over time.
I can no longer do jumping, climbing, jogging, and running because it will just speed up my condition, lalo sa weight ko ngayon.
My initial reaction was “ah okay, wala lang yan...”
Pero when I started my therapy sessions and eventually have to stop working out sa gym rin as prescribed by doc,
Doon na nagsink-in sakin ang:
“ang bata ko pa”, “gusto ko pa magSagada” “pangarap ko magtriathlon at maging active sa fun run” “Gosh, paano na??”
FYI ang dami ko na health issues kahit before pandemic and this one?
This isn’t just because of weight or walwal lifestyle.
Ang ironic. Nakakanis.
Kung kelan excited na ko maging physically active, atsaka naman ako nabigyan ng ganitong problem. 🤦♀️
Pero... Narealize ko rin na maybe yun pagwork-out ko is just a way for me to have my knees checked.
It was already there pa kahit before ako magGym.
And if hindi sumakit knees ko for weeks, hindi naman ako magpapacheck-up.
Ang galing noh?
LIFE IS LIKE A TRIP.
Minsan, akala mo yun na ang destination mo pero stop over lang pala to prepare you sa actual destination mo.
Yes, I can’t jog, jump, or run like I used to do before but this health condition motivates me to appreciate and value my health, to appreciate life that God has given us.
Plus, nagkakaroon na kami ng walking dates ni hubby as part of my daily leg exercises.
I know wala pa ito compare sa iba na mas heavy ang problema but...
Each of us has its own cross to carry.
We don’t exist to invalidate the feelings of others.
Hello? Ano to? Competition?
And regardless, small or huge challenge man yan, meron at meron ka pa rin learning sa isa’t isa.
Laban lang. 💪🏽
Challenges make our lives more colourful.

WEEKEND REFLECTION 👇🏼
Service is not just a transaction, it’s an experience.
When my hubby and I started our small business few years ago,
we made sure that every transaction is seamless as much as possible. 👇🏼
We didn’t do ads, just free or organic marketing.
We haven’t gained so much likes and followes
but we gained regular customers. 👇🏼
Business owners, don’t be fooled with vanity metrics, likes or comments. 👇🏼
Most of our regular customers never follow our page.👇🏼
Let’s focus on improving the customer journey.
Every transaction should be seamless and valuable to the client. 👇🏼
Customer relationship is like friendship.
We care with the memories more than tangible things.

TODAY'S POV💡
We're too busy gaining new friends, that we forget to nurture our existing ones.
Human friendship is like a customer relationship.
You don't just collect and collect new customers for the sake of having more sales.
You focus on making their experience with you so precious that they will love to stay with you. 💚

Many years ago, I am not a fan of public attention and social engagements. I have problems interacting with other people because of my skin color, financial status, and background. I used to have low self-esteem and full of fears all over my body. I get easily cry over petty things and simple failures. I don’t have a voice to speak up what’s truly on my mind. I usually base my decisions on others' opinions. I am full of guilt and madness. I feel worthless. I have made bad decisions in life. I am a depressed person inside.
Becoming a parent at first doesn’t change me in instant. However, I believe this is my turning point to change myself for the better. I should be brave to face my fears, to stand up with my beliefs, be able to do what I know is best for me and my loved ones.
As years passed by, I am now becoming active as a person, I am now exploring the real world and be able to understand diversity. Being a working mom doesn’t stop me to learn new things, discovering my capabilities, and meeting new people. I have discovered my love for graphics art and blogging. I really enjoying it.
I decided to put up my page to share with you the gratefulness that I am feeling and to inspire you that even thou our world is full chaos and the society is getting more toxic as it may seem, there are still more things to be thankful for.
No one is perfect, and so I am. I am still in the developing stage of getting from myself out of my cocoon. I am thankful for my loved ones who continue to support me and embrace me despite my flaws and weaknesses.
So I challenge you, to stand up and be confident to speak up for yourself. Mabuhay kayo! :)
