PALITAWIN ANG MGA NINAKAW NG ESTADO! SURFACE ALL DESAPARECIDOS!

Ngayong ika-30 ng Agosto, gunigunita ng The UPLB Jocks ang Pandaigdigang Araw ng Desaparecido. Taas kamaong pagpupugay sa lahat ng patuloy na nakikipaglaban para sa ating karapatang pantao sa kabila ng walang pakundangang pananahimik at pangte-terrorize ng pasistang estado! Ang buhay na inalay para sa bayan ay hindi buhay na isinayang. Kaya naman ipatuloy natin ang pangigiit para sa hustisya ng mga ninakaw ng estado. SURFACE ALL DESAPARECIDOS!

Mula noon hanggang ngayon takot ang gobyerno sa lumalawak na hanay ng mga taong lumalaban sa mapaniil na sistema. Mula sa pasistang rehimen ni Marcos Sr., nakita ng bansa ang patuloy na pagdami ng mga desaparecido hanggang sa rehimeng Marcos-Arroyo-Duterte. Ayon sa natalang datos ng Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearance (FIND) sa panahon pa lang ng diktadurya ni Marcos Sr., 2,078 ang sapilitang binura mula sa kasaysayan. Kasama rito ang sampung martyr ng Timog Katagalugan na sina Christina Catalla, Gerardo Faustino, Rizalina Ilagan, Ramon Jasul, Salavador Panganiban, Jessica Sales, Emmanuel Salvacruz, Virgilo Silva, Modesto B**g Sison, at Erwin De la Torre. Mga kabataan, propesor, at artista ng bayan: mga kasama na ang nais lamang ay ang tunay na pag unlad at kapayapaan ng bayan.

Hindi nagpapalamang ang kaniyang anak na si Marcos Jr., at tila pinapaiigting pa ang pamamasista sa mga taong pinagsisilbihan niya. Sa kasalukuyan, hindi pa rin inililitaw si Rowena “Owen” Dasig bagamat binasura na ang gawa-gawang kasong isinampa sa kaniya. Isa itong insulto at kahihiyan sa ating justice system. SHAME! Kahapon naman, sa pinakasariwang balita, ay kinumpirma ang pagkawala ni James Jazmines, manunulat mula Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, at kapatid ng dating consultant ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

Hanggang kailan natin hahayaang gahasain ng pasistang estado ang dangal ng ating bayan? Hanggang kailan natin hahayaang duraan ng mga teroristang AFP, PNP, at NTF-ELCAC ang demokrasyang karapatan natin? Kabataan, tumindig at wag magpatakot. Ang tunay na kaibigan ay may pagpapahalaga sa kasaysayan at may katapangan ialay ang buhay para sa bayan!⚡

Ang mga bayani ng ating kasaysayan, mula sa mga rebolusyonaryo hanggang sa mga lider ng makabayang kilusan, ay nag-alay ng kanilang buhay upang makamit ang ating kalayaan at kasarinlan. Ang kanilang tapang at dedikasyon ay hindi dapat malihis sa mga ano mang uri ng propaganda na patuloy dinidiin ng estado.

Ang mga aklat na nagtatampok sa mga bayani ay dapat maging tapat sa kanilang tunay na kontribusyon, hindi lamang bilang paggalang sa kanilang sakripisyo kundi upang magbigay inspirasyon sa susunod na kabataang lider aktibista.

Ang paglikha ng mga aklat na makatarungan ang pagsasalaysay ng kasaysayan ay isang hakbang tungo sa tunay na malaya at makabayang bansa. Nararapat nating tiyakin na ang mga bayani, na nag-alay ng buhay para sa ating bansa, ay hindi lamang nakikita sa pahina ng kasaysayan kundi nararamdaman sa puso ng bawat Pilipino. Ang ating tungkulin ay itaguyod ang umaapaw na pagtingin sa kanilang kontribusyon, upang ang kanilang tunay na diwa ng pagka-bayani ay magpatuloy na magbigay ng lakas at inspirasyon sa ating demokratikong lipunan.

MARAMING 502 BAD GATEWAYS SA UPLB!

Tuwing enlistment period sa UPLB, lagi tayong sinasalubong ng "502 Bad Gateways" na siyang nagdidikta sa kapalaran ng mga estudyante kung masuwerte silang makakakuha ng units ngayong semestre o itutulak na naman silang magmakaawa sa mga propesor para mapabilang sa klase nila. Paulit-ulit na lamang na problema ang hinaharap ng mga estudyante kung saan ang kakulangan ng units ay nagiging isa sa mga malalaking hadlang upang matamo natin ang tunay na de-kalidad na edukasyon sa pamantasan.

Subalit, tiyak na higit pa sa mga bumubungad na "502 Bad Gateways" na matatagpuan sa AMIS ang mga bumabalakid at humaharang sa totoong academic freedom ng mga UPLB students. Kabilang dito ang UP-AFP cooperation na kamakailan lamang nilagdaan noong ika-walo ng Agosto ngayong taon. Ang kasunduang ito ang mas magpapalapit sa kapahamakan at magpapalayo naman sa kalayaan ng bawat mag-aaral sa UP, sapagkat mas lilitaw at mananaig dito ang matindi nang redtagging at paniniktik sa mga estudyante ng unibersidad.

Halimbawa rin sa mga Bad Gateways sa UPLB, ang tuluyang pagiging komersyalisado ng pamantasan. Dulot ito ng budget cuts na binabawas ng estado, kaya't napipilitang kumapit ang unibersidad sa mga private partnerships. Kaya naman sa mga desisyong ito, unti-unti nang napapalayo ang UP sa dapat na pinaglilingkuran nito, sapagkat interes nang mga pribadong kumpanya ang kanilang mas pinapanigan sa kasalukuyan.

Sumama sa darating na pagkilos ngayong linggo at ating tutulan ang maraming bad gateways sa UPLB at palakasin ang puwersa ng mga kabataang estudyante, sama-sama nating ipaglaban ang ating mga karapatan tungo sa isang makamasa, siyentipiko at progresibong edukasyon!

Sa kanyang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ngayong araw, ipinakita ni Ferdinand "B**gbong" Marcos Jr. ang mga plano ng kanyang administrasyon para sa ekonomiya, imprastruktura, edukasyon, agrikultura, at kalusugan. Gayunpaman, sa kabila ng mga pangakong ito, maraming Pilipino ang nananatiling hindi kumbinsido dahil sa kakulangan ng tunay at makamasang pagbabago sa nagdaang dalawang taon.

Ang mga proyekto sa imprastruktura, bagamat ipinagmamalaki sa kaniyang talumpati, ay nananatili pa rin itong pangako at ang progreso ay lantarang mabagal. Sa sektor ng edukasyon, maraming paaralan ang kulang sa pasilidad at suporta, na nagreresulta sa mababang kalidad ng edukasyon para sa mga kabataan.

Sa kabila ng mga plano at programa, ang tunay na sitwasyon ng masa ay hindi nagbabago. Maraming Pilipino ang patuloy na naghihirap at nakararanas ng kakulangan sa serbisyong pangkalusugan at agrikultura. Ang administrasyon ni Marcos Jr. ay tila hindi nakapagbigay ng konkretong solusyon sa mga problemang ito.

Ang SONA ngayong araw ay nagbigay ng mga pangakong muling nagpatunay sa mga planong nais ipatupad ng administrasyon, ngunit ang tunay na hamon ay kung paano magkakaroon ng konkretong aksyon at tunay na pagbabago sa mga susunod na taon.
