POLICE SEIZE FI****MS, AMMUNITION IN ANTIQUE SEARCH OPERATION

Authorities confiscated five fi****ms of different calibers, assorted ammunition, and several empty cartridges during a search warrant operation in Barangay Batonan Sur, Culasi, Antique, on February 28, 2025, at 2:05 p.m.

Police Brigadier General Jack L. W***y, director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), praised the Antique Police Provincial Office and its subordinate units for their efforts against loose fi****ms.

“This accomplishment is very laudable. Seizing these fi****ms is a way to deny the opportunities of using these in committing a crime. We always ensure that communities are safe and secure, thus our endeavor against loose fi****ms remains aggressive,” W***y said.

He also urged individuals in possession of undocumented fi****ms to surrender them to the nearest police station.

The Antique Police Provincial Office led the operation, resulting in the arrest of Den, 44, a resident of the area. The search warrant was issued by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 13, Culasi, Antique, on February 25, 2025.

Recovered items include:

- Two caliber .38 revolvers

- One caliber .45 pistol

- One 12-gauge shotgun

- One improvised rifle-type shotgun

- One magazine for a caliber .45 pistol

- Assorted ammunition

- Assorted empty shells of different calibers

The Culasi Municipal Police Station, supported by the 2nd Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company, carried out the operation.

The suspect is in police custody and will face charges of violating Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013.

Ang ini nga digital innovation produkto sang public-private partnership sang Aklan Provincial Government kag Boracay stakeholders bilang sabat sa reklamo sang mga turista sa naeksperyensyahan nila nga kadugayon sa pagkuha sang mga tickets sa pagsulod sa Boracay.

“Hindi lang ito para sa kaayusan sa terminal natin kundi para rin mapaganda ang experience ng mga turista natin. Kaya ini-improve talaga natin na makaadapt tayo sa digitalization,” pahayag ni Aklan Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores, Governor Province of Aklan.

POLICE SEIZE P408,000 WORTH OF SUSPECTED SHABU IN ANTIQUE; TWO ARRESTED

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Antique Police Provincial Office conducted a successful anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay 4, San Jose, Antique, at 9:34 p.m. on December 18, 2024. The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P408,000, and the arrest of two suspects.

The suspects, identified as alias Robert, 45, jobless and tagged as a high-value individual, and alias Cel, 52, jobless and categorized as a street-level individual, are both residents of Barangay 4.

Recovered during the operation were five plastic sachets and one plastic canister containing suspected shabu, along with marked buy-bust money used in the operation.

Police Regional Office (PRO) - Western Visayas Director Police Brigadier General Jack W***y commended the officers involved for their efforts.

"This operation is a testament to the commitment of Police Regional Office 6 in safeguarding our people from the harmful effects of illegal substances. Our personnel are continuously working with utmost professionalism, perseverance, and dedication to ensure that communities are spared from the menace of illegal drugs," W***y stated.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with the San Jose Municipal Police Station, Antique Police Provincial Office Intelligence Unit, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Antique Provincial Office.

The suspects are currently in police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

ARMY SEIZES 'NPA ARMS CACHE' IN ANTIQUE, WEAKENS INSURGENCY IN PANAY

The Philippine Army's 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion (61IB) seized a high-powered firearm and other war materials after uncovering a Communist New People's Army (NPA) arms cache in Sitio Danao, Valderrama, Antique, on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The discovery was made possible through information provided by alias Negro, a former member of the Regional Headquarters Front of the Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay, who surrendered to the 61IB on July 29, 2024.

Recovered from the cache were one M16 Assault Rifle, 20 rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition, two long magazines, and three short magazines for the M16 rifle.

Major General Marion R. Sison, Commander of the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID), commended the troops for their relentless operations against the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) or NPA.

“We commend our troops for capturing the CTG arms cache in Antique. This success is also attributed to our former rebel, who provided us with reliable information, leading to the seizure of the terrorist group’s high-powered firearm and other war materials,” MGen. Sison said.

MGen. Sison emphasized that dismantling the CTG’s resources, including their weapons, is essential to neutralizing their resurgence and maintaining public safety.

“Our operations won’t stop here. We will not give them space to breathe and rise up again. Seizing their weapons is part of our effort to dismantle their support system, prevent any attempt to resurge, and ensure the safety of the people. We will continue our anti-insurgency efforts until we completely eliminate all remnants of the CTG in Panay and achieve our desired Stable Internal Peace and Security environment for all Panaynons,” he added.

The Philippine Army's 3ID remains committed to sustaining its anti-insurgency campaigns to establish lasting peace and security in Panay.
