When you “speak your customer’s language,” you’re not just choosing the right words – you’re tapping into their true needs and desires. 👥

At the core, every customer has layers to their problems:

1️⃣ External - The obvious, surface-level need.
2️⃣ Internal - The emotional response to that need.
3️⃣ Philosophical - The broader purpose or belief.

By addressing each of these, you go beyond selling – you’re building real trust, making them feel heard and understood 🧩

Let’s make your brand the one your audience turns to. Link in my bio to learn more 🌟

Now, I’m not a guru, but I’ve worked with a few marketing agencies when they were in their early stages.

During those years, I noticed that the ones who did this one thing were able to grow.

The successful ones share a common mindset that helped them thrive.

They learned how—and when—to outsource effectively.

They understand the important distinction between struggling and succeeding.

Struggling business owners spend time to save money.

Successful business owners spend money to save time.

The mindset is different. And I guess it’s because you can always make more money, but you can never get more time.

That’s why, if you’re a small business owner, you need to ensure that everything you spend time on makes the biggest impact for your business.

Another trip around the sun.

This year has been one of changes—some tough endings, unexpected moments, and new beginnings I didn’t see coming.

I’ve had to relearn a lot about myself and embrace the art of letting go.

It’s not been easy, but today, as I reflect, my heart is full.

One year older, wiser, kinder —and grateful for all of it.

If you're a digital creator with a small following, you need to leverage Instagram reel now.

It looks like Instagram is actually doing what they promised they would do. Reach has increased for all account sizes in 2024, on average, and accounts with less than 500 followers are getting more views than accounts with 501 followers up.

I'm experiencing this myself. I'm a young Instagram creator with only 84 followers, but my reach and engagement, especially my video plays, has skyrocketed.

Not all posts, though, will experience this kind of organic traction, but if you're publishing valuable content, you will get better reach from Instagram on average.

Here's a simple tweak you can do to make your post more engaging and get likes, comments or shares.

It lies in remembering to ask a question of your audience as a means of getting them off the sideline and involved in your brand or business conversation online.

Consider these two scenarios.

Scenario 1 - more recent

Post 1: Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms out there! 💐

Post 2: We're celebrating moms today! What's the best piece of advice your mom ever gave you?

Scenario 2

Post 1: Happy Thanksgiving!

Post 2: We’re ready for turkey! What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food?

Which do you think is more engaging, Posts 1 or Posts 2? I welcome your response in the comments.

As a brand or business, you need to constantly remind yourself to ask for the desired outcome or behavior from your audience with a clear call-to-action.

So, if you want to spark conversation on socials, you need to remember to ask for them.

No matter how far you've come and adapted in social media, or how trendy the current scene is, evergreen content will always be relevant.

These core content types are staples for your business and retain its value over time.

So why is evergreen content still valuable?

* It focuses on timeless subjects: It tackles topics that are perpetually relevant to your audience.

* It sustains value: It continues to provide value to your audience over time.

*It attracts consistently: Once created and positioned well, it can consistently attract your target audience.

Even with minor tweaks, an audience could discover this content years later and still find it insightful.

Think of it as a reliable resource that matures with time!

Sharing my small wins this week!

I started a new Tarot Instagram channel a few months ago, and in the past two months, I've been focusing on it, now that I have more time.

It's been amazing to see this young channel with only 50 followers gain organic traction and resonate with an audience, especially considering the current difficulty of growing organically on Instagram.

As a social media manager, this engagement validates my strategy. There's always room for testing and refinement, but it's a fantastic start.

As a tarot reader, it fulfils my mission to spread inspiration, clarity, and positive messages.

Seeing strategy and purpose align to create an impact is truly rewarding!

There's no one-size-fits-all approach to social media.

I keep reminding myself of that every time I dive into a new project with clients.

Sure, it's super tempting to borrow tactics from competitors, ride the latest trends, and stick to what's always worked before. And don't get me wrong, those strategies can be golden, but they're not a guaranteed win for everyone.

See, every business operates differently. What succeeds for one may not necessarily translate to success for another, depending on the audience, the vision, and the story they're telling.

That's why I'm all about embracing the uniqueness of each business I work with.

Think about your audience, your vision, and your story. That's what sets you apart in a sea of sameness. 🌊

Focus on crafting a social media strategy that highlights what makes your business unique. Let your brand's voice and story shine through - that's the key to standing out in the crowd!

Fresh off watching Netflix's "Damsel," and it got me thinking (beyond the epic fight scenes, of course!)

Here are a few takeaways that resonated with a social media manager like myself.

👉 Challenge Expectations: The film cleverly subverts the classic "damsel in distress" trope.

Similarly, in social media, don't be afraid to challenge tired trends or industry norms. Experiment with formats, embrace unexpected partnerships, and surprise your audience with fresh content.

👉 Authenticity is Key: Elodie's strength and resourcefulness shine through despite the situation.

Social media audiences crave authenticity. Let your brand's unique voice and values come through in your content.

👉 Know Your Audience: The prince's arrogance led to his downfall.

In social media, understanding your target audience is crucial. Tailor your content and messaging to resonate with their specific needs and interests.

👉 Content is Queen (or Princess, in this case): Even trapped in a dragon's lair, Elodie finds a way to craft a compelling narrative.

Engaging content is the lifeblood of social media. Invest in high-quality content creation that resonates with your audience and drives results.

Bonus: Dragons may not be real (yet!), but online crises can feel like fire-breathing beasts. Elodie's resourcefulness and quick thinking in the face of danger offer a valuable lesson: Be prepared for the unexpected in social media.

**Lastly, never marry anyone you've only known for a few days. Probably a good social media strategy too. **

Has anyone here seen the movie? What other social media takeaways did you glean from Damsel?

A lot of business owners are always asking themselves, "What should I be doing? What can I do more?"

But perhaps the right questions to ask are, "What shouldn't I be doing anymore? What can be removed from my plate?"

Many are on a never-ending quest to balance running a business with building a thriving online presence. And let's be real, it's tough juggling both, isn't it?

As much as you strive to handle everything yourself ,the truth is, it's exhausting. It leaves you drained, less productive, and ultimately impacts your business.

So, what if you took a step back and focused on:

✔️Entrusting tasks to capable hands.
✔️Investing your time in activities that fuel business growth.
✔️Surrounding yourself with people that lightens the load.

Imagine the possibilities if you had more time to brainstorm innovative ideas, connect with your network on a deeper level, and invest in what truly drives your business forward.

Because let's face it, growth doesn't come from spreading yourself thin—it comes from freedom to make smart, strategic decisions that propel you forward.

So, embrace the idea of letting go. By doing less of the busywork, you open yourself up to doing more of what truly matters.

And for those interested in exploring additional avenues for growth, remember that outsourcing certain tasks, like social media management, can be a game-changer in reclaiming valuable time and focusing on strategy for business growth.

👋 Hello Facebook community! It's been a while, so I figured I'd reintroduce myself.

I'm Jo, a Social Media Manager passionate about helping business owners like you enhance their online presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Along the way, I've had the privilege of working alongside top industry experts and an award-winning agency, enriching my experience in this field.

My goal is to lighten your workload so you can focus on your core business.

Here are a few fun tidbits about me:

✔️ I've been exploring new interests like crafting scented candles, creating natural soaps, and delving into intuitive tarot reading.

Maybe one day I'll turn these hobbies into a small business venture!

✔️ While I'm undoubtedly a cat person at heart, I'm also the proud owner of three lovable dogs! 😹

There's something special about the way cats make you earn their affection & trust, isn't there? HAHA

✔️ My career path as a Social Media Manager wasn't always clear. In my younger years, I aspired to pursue nursing or teaching.

However, my journey as a freelancer led me to embrace new challenges.

✔️ Despite being an introvert, I find joy in connecting with diverse individuals, discovering their stories, and gaining fresh perspectives

✔️ Beyond financial gain, my true satisfaction comes from serving clients like you, delivering value, and witnessing their satisfaction with my work.

And let's not forget the power of word-of-mouth referrals! 💓

I'm incredibly grateful to be part of this vibrant community and eagerly anticipate forging new connections while rekindling old ones. Feel free to add me and let's connect! ☺️

"At the end of the day, I'm depleted.

I want to focus on growing my business, but this social media space is consuming too much of my time and energy."

If these thoughts are floating around in your mind right now, take a deep breath! I want you to know that you're not alone.

Many of the people I've worked with before felt the same way too, and I understand. It's exhausting to try to juggle both at the same time.

Running a business and consistently building a strong online presence is overwhelming.

But there's an easier way. It's nothing new, but it might be the solution you need.

After working with different clients and agencies over the past 3+ years, I've seen that those who learned to outsource well are able to focus on working on their business, not in it, and eventually are able to grow.

When you want to outsource your social media management:

* Look for someone who understands your business and aligns with your values.
* Make sure to communicate well what your business needs and expectations are.
* Establish systems and processes for efficiency. This will save you atone of time and energy.

Offload that workload, and you'll be able to focus on growing your business, have more time with your family and friends, and more importantly for yourself. Trust me, you're going to enjoy life more and wish you had done it sooner.

If you need tips on how to better manage your social media presence, send me a message, and I'll be happy to share some insights and resources I've picked along the way.

Now, if you do need help in actually managing your social media accounts, I'd be glad to help. Let's chat and see how we can work together.
