I still remember back in 2020, where Rolly hit Catanduanes on November 1. Our province is a lone remote island located in the eastern most part of Bicol Region. The only way to get here is by sea or air. There is NO electricity, NO communication, and NO news when Rolly landfalled here. Ang tanging binalita ay bago maglandfall si Rolly sa Bato, Catanduanes. Pero after the typhoon, wala. Hindi ibinalita ang kalagayan ng Catanduanes, hindi kami nakahingi ng tulong mula sa mga kalapit na probinsya when we needed help.

The media only covered Albay, Cam Norte, Cam Sur and other main provinces in the Bicol Region.

That's why, I'm posting this to spread awareness. We don't want another please. We, Catandunganons we're known for being resilient, ‘ay sanay na 'yang mga taga Catanduanes’. Yes, we are used to being the daanan of typhoons, but we don't want to repeat what happened in 2020.

In a few hours there will be NO communication IN and OUT of our province due to . Please don't forget about us. Ayaw naming maulit ang nangyari noon.
