On December 6, 2024, Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal Inc. organized a solemn celebration to honor the First Friday Mass, together with the students and faculty members, marking the beginning of a month filled with anticipation as they await the arrival of the Son of the Lord, Jesus Christ. This spiritual activity was led by the school's chaplain, Rev. Fr. Josue V. Enero, who guided everyone to the spiritually uplifting gathering, setting a good start for the following days.

The homily delivered by Rev. Fr. Josue V. Enero centered around the Gospel of Saint Matthew 9:27โ€“31, recounting the miraculous healing of the blind men by Jesus. In this powerful story, Jesus emphasized the importance of faith, stating that individuals' beliefs are intricately connected to the outcomes they experience. Despite Jesus instructing the men to keep what happened to themselves, the two men could not keep their mouths shut as they shared the news with their region, illustrating the profound impact of unwavering faith. Through this message, Rev. Fr. Josue V. Enero reminded Catherinians to always have faith in Godโ€™s powerful hand and trust the plan of God for everyone. Everyone should approach life with faith, affirming that dedicating one's beliefs to the divine will yields blessings beyond measure, as to what Jesus has said to the two blind men.

On November 21, 2024, the second day of the Pasiklaban 2024 intramurals at Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. was a vibrant continuation of the excitement and camaraderie that marked the enlivening day. It served as the perfect opportunity for students to exhibit not only their athletic prowess but also their unyielding school spirit and support for their respective teams. This day was pivotal in the intramural schedule, as it focused on completing the games left unfinished during the previous day.

As early as 7:30 AM, the campus was abuzz with activity. The basketball games, led by the ever-enthusiastic Mr. Kenneth D. Swin, resumed at the SCSA Basketball Court. Simultaneously, the volleyball matches under the supervision of Mr. Dexter Carpio continued at Kotat Street, the dedicated volleyball area behind the school. Both sports attracted a lively crowd of students and faculty members who cheered passionately for their teams. This collective enthusiasm not only uplifted the players but also fostered a sense of community among everyone present.

Aside from the power and sweat combination produced by basketball and volleyball, the day was packed with various competitions held across multiple venues within the campus. The TLE Cook Fest, a culinary showdown divided into Division 1 and Division 2 categories, took place in TLE Rooms 201 and 202. Aspiring chefs showcased their culinary skills, turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary dishes that impressed the judges.

Meanwhile, the racket sports competitions, Badminton and Lawn Tennis, saw fierce but friendly battles of agility and strategy. Badminton matches were held at the SCSA Bricks, while Lawn Tennis games took place at the tennis court near the school grounds. Table Tennis, another highly anticipated event, was hosted in the Grade 10 - Saint Luke classroom, where students displayed remarkable precision and reflexes.

The Chess tournament was held in the SCSA Library, transforming the usually serene space into an intense battleground of wits and strategy. Players analyzed their moves carefully, embodying the intellectual aspect of the intramurals. Not to be outdone, the Sepak Takraw matches brought a unique flavor to the day, as athletes demonstrated their exceptional control and agility at the SCSA Bricks.

In the afternoon, the growing world of eSports took center stage. At 1:00 PM, the Mobile Legends (ML) and Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) tournaments commenced in the SCSA Lobby. This modern addition to the intramurals lineup drew large crowds, highlighting the increasing recognition of gaming as a legitimate competitive activity. Players immersed themselves in their virtual worlds while their peers cheered them on, showcasing how technology has seamlessly integrated into school events.

Throughout the day, the unyielding support from the Catherinians for their teams was palpable. Students tirelessly rallied behind their representatives, boosting the confidence and morale of every participant. This shared enthusiasm created an atmosphere of inclusivity and encouragement, where every competitor felt valued and motivated.

Day 2 of the Pasiklaban 2024 intramurals was a smash to the vibrant spirit of the Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. community. It was more than just a day of sports and competition; it was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and unity. As the day concluded, it left a lasting impression on everyone involved, reminding them of the values of perseverance, sportsmanship, and school pride.

The Day 2 of the Pasiklaban 2024 intramurals was a smash to the vibrant spirit of the Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. community. It was more than just a day of sports and competition; it was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and unity. As the day concluded, it left a lasting impression on everyone involved, reminding them of the values of perseverance, sportsmanship, and school pride.

On November 20, 2024โ€”was a great day to start the long-awaited SCSA Pasiklaban 2024. Catherinians were eager to show off their skills and talents, discover their full potential, and venture outside of their comfort zones in order to make amazing memories and meet new people to build new friendships.

Starting off with the opening parade at 7 o'clock in the morning. Catherinians are overflowing with enthusiasm as they walk together with pride while proudly representing their respective teams. Next to the opening parade is the opening program, which begins with the SCSA singers leading the Invocation. Mrs. Angelita S. Bugay led the opening prayer as Catherinians gathered together to seek guidance from the Almighty God. The flag committee of the SCSA Discipline and Support Group then led the entrance of colors. The SCSA singers led by Ms. Eralane J. Gavino sang the Philippine National Anthem and the SCSA Hymn. Then, the Opening Remarks of the SCSAโ€™s supportive school principal, Mr. Aldrin S. Dela Cruz.

Then, the intermission number performance of the SCSA Dancers, and the torch lighting and oath of amateurism, led by Mr. Kenshin R. Balmaceda. Followed by the official opening of the SCSA Pasiklaban 2024, led by Mrs. Roxanne E. Fernando.

Following the opening program is the opening dance number of SCSA for the Mr. and Ms. Pasiklaban 2024. The representatives of every team confidently walked on the stage with their sportswear as they introduced themselves. An eating competition is arranged for a short commercial to give the contestants enough time to prepare for their next walk. After that, contestants once again had their moment to ramp on the stage wearing their creative wear. Followed by their ramp is the question-and-answer portion and then the awarding of winners.

After all those programs, at approximately 1 o'clock in the afternoon, various games started. The Palaro ng Lahi is held at the SCSA Bricks, the Traditional Poster Making is held at the SCSA Library, the basketball game is held at the SCSA Court, and the Volleyball game is held at the Kotat Street.

The SCSA Pasiklaban 2024 is a truly remarkable affair and serves as a platform where students can break free from the confines of traditional academic settings and proudly exhibit their diverse range of abilities and aptitudes. By participating in this event, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, embrace novel experiences, and start on a journey of personal growth and self-discovery. Beyond the competitive aspects, Pasiklaban 2024 embodies inclusivity and empowerment, allowing every individual to unleash their latent talents and skills.

On November 15, 2024, at 4 PM, the SCSA Alumni Association Inc. organized a vibrant Zumba fundraising event to support various initiatives within the school community at the Elementary Court of Saint Catherine of Siena Academy of Samal, Inc. A significant portion of the funds raised was dedicated to advancing ongoing projects, particularly the continuation of the Alumni Hall on the 4th floor of the Senior High School building.

The event was spearheaded by the dedicated head of the SCSA Alumni Association Inc. President, Mr. Roland V. Deldoc, along with a committed team of association members. Their collaborative efforts were strengthened by the collaborative efforts and participation of the school faculty and staff, all working together to ensure the event's success.

In addition to its primary goal of fundraising, this lively gathering provided a great opportunity for Catherinians of the Elementary Department, Junior High School Department, and Senior High School Department to engage with their classmates and class advisers in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Catherinians, alongside alumni came together to dance and celebrate the school's spirit, fostering a sense of voluntarism among each other as some students entered the stage to encourage others to enjoy the moment presented to them.

Beyond being a physical activity, the event served as a testament to the unity and shared commitment of the SCSA community toward enhancing the schoolโ€™s educational environment. The collective participation of alumni, faculty, staff, and students reinforced the importance of collaboration and dedication in achieving the goals that contribute to the growth and success of school projects and facilities.
