Twenty three young farmer trainees from different regions of the country complete this year's batch of the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ).

The Municipality of Saint Bernard Province of Southern Leyte headed by our Municipal Mayor Hon Manuel O. Calapre and Mun. Vice Mayor Antonio C. Dalugdugan and Hon SB Members are very proud to have Roben Balondro from 4-H Cabagawan as one of the trainee at ATI Central Office, Quezon City

This is as part of the continuing partnership of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) with the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) for the program aimed at advancing the skills of young Filipino farmers.

As the Pre-Departure Orientation Course (PDOC) for the YFFLTPJ Batch 2020 begun key officials of the ATI and JAEC gave some relevant reminders. ATI Director Alfredo Aton emphasized the need for young bloods in agriculture to sustain and advance the agricultural development in the country. "We need you in this journey to agricultural progress," "Rest assured that we, in ATI, will guide you every step of the way." Dir. Aton added.

The involvement of the youth in agriculture is one of the major advocacies of the Agriculture Secretary William Dar.

The preparatory course for this year's batch of YFFLTPJ trainees is set to be conducted until April 2020.
