Valentine's event centers on loving with the Lord
By Aaron Jay Baruelo

Love. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres. Love never fails.

Hercor College celebrate the Valentine's Day with the inspiration of the Lord in this year's "Thank God It's February: True Love waits" at the Hercor College, Main Campus Gym, today.

Valentine's Day is just a mere spectacle to celebrate but the institution caught up with the idea to rejoice it; through moralizing what is love, how to use the word love and what will befall if one person is in love.

"It is for the students to learn and to understand what true love is," said school guidance counselor, Glecenia Orcine. "How they will be going to determine their true emotions so that they can be able to say that they are really in love and it's already the right time to them."

Morning talks on love were given by invited pastors. In the afternoon, a harana contest will be slated. A harana, is a Filipino courting song.

"(It is also for the students) to engage in such a relationship which is they can be worthy in the presence of the Lord," Orcine added.

The institution's Valentine's Day celebration was facilitated by the Hercor College Christian Church and the Hercor College Guidance Office and Services.
