Coin Circulation Data

Yesterday, after witnessing the data update on October 16th, the circulating Pi supply decreased to just over 500 million Pi (rounded to 500 million for easier calculation).

Combined with PCT's previous Pi allocation algorithm, PCT always holds 35% while the community holds 65%.

In reality, of the approximately 500 million Pi in circulation, the community holds about 325 million Pi.

Keep in mind that the locked Pi on the mainnet wallet is still counted in the circulating Pi supply. As previously analyzed, the 50% lock rate is acceptable as the community’s awareness has improved compared to before.

Currently, the actual Pi in circulation held by the community is around 160 million Pi. Moreover, the community's awareness and vision have significantly improved compared to previous years, so most people will not exchange their entire Pi holdings.

Additionally, some accounts may accumulate more Pi when the Open Network is available. The estimate of 50-60% of Pi being stored and not exchanged is reasonable.

To summarize, at present, only about 50-70 million Pi is realistically available for exchange as liquidity in the system.

After the recent retrieval of 1 billion Pi last month (with no signs of stopping), Pi has become many times more scarce.
