🎓 A Procession of Honor and Triumph: Celebrating the New Faces of Justice ⚖️

The 2025 Testimonial Dinner unfolded with a grand and meaningful procession — a tribute to commitment, excellence, and service. At the forefront marched the newly registered criminologists, the pride of RSU’s Institute of Criminal Justice Education (ICJE), symbolizing perseverance and dedication in the pursuit of justice.

Close behind were the ICJE Faculty and Staff, pillars of wisdom and guidance; followed by distinguished academic leaders — the Campus Director, ICJE Director, Guest Speaker, and the VPAA, VPREDI, VPAF, VP LSAS and CAO — all representing the collective strength behind RSU’s academic success.

The celebration grew in honor as we welcomed the entrance of key local government leaders and dignitaries: Governor Jose “Otik” Riano, Vice Governor Arming Gutierrez, and Municipal Mayor Hon. Esteban Santiago F. Madrona Jr., whose steadfast leadership has elevated support for criminology students at the grassroots level.

The spotlight then shone on the committed forces of public safety as Partner Agencies made their entrance — the PNP, BFP, BJMP, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Municipal and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Offices — agencies whose partnership played a vital role in training and mentoring these future defenders of peace and order.

Lastly, the hall was brought to its feet with the entrance of two powerful champions of education and progress: University President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, who challenged ICJE to produce future topnotchers, and Congressman Hon. Eleandro Jesus F. Madrona, whose advocacy for accessible education led to the realization of free CLE review sessions and the establishment of a PRC examination filing and testing center right at RSU San Agustin — achievements made possible with the joint efforts of Mayor Madrona.

This unforgettable processional was not merely a formal rite, but a celebration of shared vision, institutional collaboration, and the unstoppable rise of the next generation of criminologists

In a moment filled with pride and hope, the hall raised their glasses in celebration as VP LSAS Atty. Glenn Sartillo led the ceremonial wine toasting — a symbolic tribute to the unwavering determination, excellence, and honor of the newly registered criminologists of 2025.

This heartfelt toast not only marked the closing of one chapter but the bold beginning of their journey as professionals in the field of criminal justice. Surrounded by esteemed leaders, mentors, and partner agencies, the evening sparkled with gratitude, unity, and the promise of greater heights ahead.

Here’s to justice, service, and the future defenders of peace. Cheers to your achievement and the legacy you are about to build! 🥂

✨ A Night of Honor and Hope: 2025 Testimonial Dinner for Newly Registered Criminologists ✨
A celebration of excellence, perseverance, and purpose.

Spearheaded by the Institute of Criminal Justice Education Student Organization (ICJESO) under the leadership of its dedicated President, Ms. Phielle Marie Jardin, the 2025 Testimonial Dinner became a heartfelt tribute to the newest batch of Registered Criminologists — a generation of professionals marked by integrity, resilience, and a strong commitment to justice and service.

The program commenced with inspiring Opening Remarks by Dr. Poly D. Banagan, RSU San Agustin’s devoted Campus Director, followed by a warm and welcoming address from Dr. Augusto D. Tayco Jr., Campus Dean of Instruction. The evening soared as RSU’s visionary President, Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, CESE, shared an Inspirational Message, emphasizing the university’s commitment to quality education.

The event also highlighted the continued support of Governor Jose "Otik" Riano and Vice Governor Arming Gutierrez, along with the insightful message from Hon. Esteban Santiago F. Madrona Jr., Mayor of San Agustin, whose partnership with local and national leaders paved the way for these remarkable accomplishments.

The evening’s keynote was delivered by Hon. Eleandro Jesus F. Madrona, Congressman of the Lone District of Romblon, introduced by Mr. Melchor S. Rufon, LPT, MEM, Chairperson for Student Affairs and Services. In his passionate speech, the Congressman highlighted his strong commitment to education, emphasizing his efforts — alongside Mayor Madrona — in providing free Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) review programs in San Agustin and working to establish a PRC Examination Filing and Testing Center at RSU San Agustin. This collaborative initiative means that criminology students and graduates no longer need to travel to Manila to file or take the board exams, making the process more accessible and affordable for them.

The celebration continued with inspiring testimonies from standout graduates:
🔹 ARJAN R. DE JUAN, RCrim – Top 2 Outstanding Criminology Student in Region IV-B, delivered Words of Challenge, inspiring future criminologists to push beyond the limits.
🔹 KHEYAN B. FORNEA, RCrim – Top 10 Outstanding Criminology Student, Former ICJESO President, and NAPOLCOM Passer, shared his Road to Success, highlighting perseverance and leadership.
🔹 THOMAS ADRIAN FALSADO, RCrim – Excellent Board Performer and NAPOLCOM Passer, gave his heartfelt Words of Gratitude, acknowledging the collective efforts of everyone who supported their journey.

The evening concluded with Closing Remarks from Dr. Shenai F. Juance, Program Chairperson of ICJE, who challenged the new criminologists to uphold their values of justice and service as they embark on their professional journey.

It was a night to remember — a celebration not only of the achievements and milestones of the graduates but of the collective effort of the local government, the university, and its leaders who made these opportunities possible.

To the Criminologists of 2025 — this is just the beginning. Wear your badge with pride and serve with honor and integrity.

A NEW ERA BEGINS: SSC ELECTION 2025 SEALS NEW STUDENT LEADERSHIP AT RSU SAN AGUSTIN

Published by: The Beacon – The Official Publication of the College of Public Affairs and Governance, RSU San Agustin Campus

With enthusiasm echoing across classrooms and hallways, the students of Romblon State University – San Agustin Campus exercised their right to vote and cast their voices in the recently concluded Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election 2025. It was more than a democratic exercise—it was a powerful testament to youth participation, campus unity, and the unwavering pursuit of progress.

Amid passionate campaigns, platforms focused on advocacy, and a student electorate eager to be heard, the elections unfolded in an atmosphere of respectful competition and shared hope.

With their hearts grounded in service and eyes fixed on positive change, these student leaders are now tasked with turning platforms into action, and dreams into reality.

A Message to Inspire

To our newly elected SSC Officers and Sentinels:
This victory is a privilege—and a promise. You now carry the hopes of your fellow students. Lead with humility, serve with sincerity, and never lose sight of the reason you were chosen—to be a voice for the many, and a light during uncertain times. Your courage to lead must now be matched by your commitment to serve.

To those who ran but did not win:
Your bravery is the foundation of a strong democratic spirit. Continue being involved, keep your vision alive, and remember: leadership doesn’t end in elections—it lives in everyday action.

To the student body:
Let us support and collaborate with our new SSC leaders. As they stand for us, let us stand beside them. Together, let us build a campus community that is inclusive, responsive, and inspiring.

In the heart of RSU San Agustin, a new chapter begins—written by leaders elected not by chance, but by choice.
Here’s to bold leadership, honest governance, and a studentry united for a brighter tomorrow.
