International Jokes Day

After a long day of hard work, we could all need a good chuckle, and as they say, laughter is the best medicine. And, at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has turned everything upside down, we need to unwind and have some fun. So, in honor of International Joke Day 2020, which falls on July 1, I've search a video of filipino history jokes that will hopefully make you laugh.

Are you INSURED?

Many Filipinos regard insurance as a responsibility rather than a source of income in the event of unforeseen calamities.

However, as newer insurance coverage supporting individual customers with pre-existing needs or with a medical condition has been launched in the Philippines in recent years, this perception has shifted.

As a result, insurance pe*******on in the Philippines has increased.

Consumers' attitudes on acquiring insurance policies have shifted. The entire insurance premiums written, which amounted for nearly 1.4 percent of the Philippines' gross national revenue, have been impacted by this shift.

In 2018, over 17% of the population of the Philippines lived below the national poverty line. This economic reality has affected the amount of Filipinos covered by any type of insurance, whether traditional insurance products or emerging insurance models.

Low-income Filipinos, on the other hand, may be able to take advantage of microinsurance, which is a type of insurance that is less expensive. In the Philippines, the Mutual Benefits Association wrote the majority of microinsurance policies (MBA).

Two of the MBA's stipulations were to pay ill benefits and provide financial assistance to members who were unemployed. The Mutual Benefits Associations (MBAs) issued premiums of around 11 billion Philippine pesos to satisfy microinsurance needs, according to a new discovery.

The national health insurance program covered an estimated 98 percent of the Philippines' population. This came very near to achieving the aim of universal healthcare coverage.

Insurance is more important than ever in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and recent tragedies in the Philippines. Filipinos are more aware of the dangers of a lack of security in the event of death, unforeseen accidents, and illness-related hospitalization bills.
