Congrats Gretchen Ho on your WIA Studios launch featuring the face of Philippine Skateboarding, Margielyn Didal. Thanks for having us on-board! Grading work for this exciting docu-film co-produced with Red Bull PH.

Introducing Woman In Action Studios, and presenting : Our first ever documentary film on the Philippines’ first Olympic skateboarder, Margielyn Didal.

Coming from the world of Philippine sports, it’s been a deep advocacy of mine to use my platform to tell the story of our athletes, and very proud to have had the opportunity with someone who has broken a lot of barriers.

In partnership with Red Bull Philippines, we went from Cebu to Dubai to Baler to document Margie’s journey.

Margielyn Didal, who came from nothing, managed to build a career off of borrowing skateboards and serving pancit canton in skateparks in Cebu.

Through sheer grit, a personality so well-loved around the world, and the solid support of the skateboarding community, she made her way from competing and winning against boys, to challenging giants in the debut of Skateboarding in the Olympics.

Yet in 2022, after Tokyo — she went through a career-threatening ankle fracture. How exactly does an elite Filipino athlete deal with the pressures of carrying the weight of a whole nation on her shoulders?
