STOP SELLING, START DATING.

In social media, it's not about the hard sell. It's about building relationships.

Just like on Tinder or Bumble, people scrolling through their feeds are looking for someone they connect with. They don't want to be bombarded with ads. They want to learn about the people and brands they're following.

So, don't just whip out your product or service and expect people to buy it. Take the time to get to know them. Share your story. Show them what makes you different.

If you can do that, you'll build trust and rapport. And when people trust and like you, they're more likely to buy from you.

So, next time you're posting on social media, remember: it's not about the hard sell. It's about dating.

You can't manage what you can't measure.
You can't improve when you don't measure.

HOWEVER

Not everything that matters can be measured:
- our relationships with our clients
- our relationships with the people we work with
- good judgement
- how comfortable we can get with uncertainty

and

not everything that we can measure matters
- easuring hours worked can be misleading, as it doesn't take into account the actual output, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation that an individual or team may bring to the table. It may not accurately reflect the impact or effectiveness of the work being done.
In the context of productivity, it is more meaningful to assess the results achieved, the goals accomplished, and the value added rather than simply counting the hours spent on a task or project. It's essential to prioritize the quality of work and the impact it has rather than solely focusing on the quantity of time spent working.

Right now, it might feel like you haven’t been making any progress.

It might feel like you’re stuck in the same place. It might feel like you’ve been wasting your time and your energy because you haven’t gotten the results you’ve been hoping to find.

But you have to remember, you aren’t going to see results overnight.

You need to stay patient.

You need to hold onto your hope.

Nothing good comes quickly.

You should also remind yourself how important it is to enjoy the journey. It’s much better than obsessing over the end result, something you cannot fully control. If you enjoy the journey, then it doesn’t matter how much progress you can see.

Remember, your effort is worthwhile, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

We are in love with this! By magnifying the seemingly hidden logo in unexpected places, PepsiCo managed to tap into the psychology of brand recognition.

The "hidden" logo helped to reinforce the association between Pepsi and fast food in the minds of customers.

This holiday season — make sure to check in with yourself. Dedicate specific moments in your day to being present with your mind, and your body, so that you can reflect on how you are genuinely feeling as you navigate a deeply draining season. The holidays are full of immense beauty and magic, but they can also hold a heaviness within them because they can pull you in so many different directions that require a lot of your emotional and physical energy.

Choose a few specific times throughout your day where you can set an alarm, and remind yourself to take three deep breaths. Dedicate the first thirty minutes of your morning to doing something kind for yourself — whether that is sitting quietly and drinking a warm cup of coffee, or making time for movement and honoring your body.

By dedicating yourself to small, but manageable moments of self care, you show yourself that you are someone you love, too, while also adding pockets of calm into your day.
