The next generation spacesuit.

A spacesuit prototype of what NASA Astronauts, including the first woman, plan to wear on the surface of the Moon during the agency’s NASA Artemis III mission was revealed today by Axiom Space.

The Artemis III spacesuit, the AxEMU, is showcased in a dark gray cover material, but the final version will likely be all-white when worn by NASA astronauts on the Moon’s surface, to help keep the astronauts safe and cool while working in the harsh environment of space.

NASA selected Axiom Space to deliver a moonwalking system to land the first astronauts near the lunar South Pole. By working with commercial partners, NASA is enabling a growing space economy that leverages industry capabilities and NASA’s expertise to provide spacewalk and moonwalk services as safely, effectively, and efficiently as possible.

New spacesuits allow humans to explore the lunar surface and advance our capability for human exploration in space. Under Artemis, new exploration spacesuits and other human surface mobility systems, along with the Space Launch System rocket, the Orion Spacecraft, Exploration Ground Systems facilities, Gateway lunar space station, and human landing systems, will enable NASA to return humans to the Moon and establish a long-term presence there for scientific discovery. This experience prepares us for the next giant leap: sending astronauts to Mars.

SATTI. Spicy breakfast nang alas-4 ng umaga sa Zamboanga. Hanggang alas-9 lang daw ito ino-offer.

“Satti is made of beef and chicken strips and livers on skewers that are grilled and put on top of a sweet and spicy red sauce. Satti is served with rice molded into cubes and set on coconut leaves beside the meat sauce. You can combine the rice and sauce.

The main ingredients – beef, chicken or chicken livers – are spiced with turmeric, curry, pepper and garlic, but the preparation of satti does differ from place to place. There might be coriander in some versions of satti, or lemongrass in others.

Satti, for the Tausug, is a breakfast food, though you can have it for lunch and dinner as well. The sauce is the secret to this dish, and the taste of this sauce will vary slightly from one place to another.” (Rappler)

Tree of Life | National Museum of Natural History

Soaring six storeys high, this is the museum’s definitive architectural feature, the locus around which the entire complex revolves. Conceptualized by architect and heritage conservation advocate Dominic Galicia, the DNA Tree of Life has been described as a double-helix steel structure that rises and extends into a distinctive pattern of leaves and branches that provide a canopy for the museum’s courtyard. Because it houses a scenic elevator, it also serves as one of the access points to the museum’s top floor. From there, visitors can eventually start their tour at the galleries on the fifth floor and find their way to the lower floors via ramps or stairs.
