The CESU Puerto Princesa successfully conducted a series of trainings for different participants and agencies. These trainings typically cover various topics, including epidemiological methods, data collection and analysis, outbreak investigation, and surveillance tools and technologies. These programs increase the overall efficiency of health responses and contribute to long-term capacity building in local and national health security, ultimately reducing the impact of epidemics. This is one of the many initiatives the City Health Office adheres to enhance and strengthen the various Epidemiology and Surveillance Units in the city.
These trainings are:
1. March 5-6, 2024 " Orientation to Disease Surveillance Services for Barangay Health Workers"
2. May 6-10, 2024 "Basic Epidemiology and Surveillance Training"(for Disease Surveillance Coordinators in HESU's and Satellite Clinics)
3. October 28-29, 2024 "Event-Based Surveillance and Response for Barangay Health Workers"
4. October 30-31, 2024 "Orientation to Disease Surveillance Services" for School Nurses of the Public and Private Schools.
5. November 5-7 2024 "Oubreak Investigation Training"
We want to sincerely give thanks to everyone from the participants, resource speakers, and the heads of the different offices who contributed their time and effort to make this activity very successful.
Till the next CESU Puerto Princesa event.
