I never imagined that in my 5 years with AXA, I would reach this point. Some clients would ask me if I already experienced some death claims or critical illnesses claims. I usually answer, "Simbako!", or "God forbid!". I really prayed that nothing like this one will happen, but unexpected events are really possible.
Last August 24, 2020, my very first ever claim happened. My 44 year old male client had a STEMI-Heart Attack. I was really shocked because he is still young and he doesn’t even looked ill. He is active and into sports. He is playing golf when it happened.
Way back July 2017, his wife decided to get Healthmax 20-pay for him with a 2M coverage. Meaning, they only paid for 3 years until the unexpected event happened. It was supposed to be 1M only but his wife said, 1M will never be enough so she decided to increase it to 2M.
The first few hours in the ICU already cost them P400,000. He also had an angioplasty with 5 stents. It was really a painful experience for the family, especially for the wife.
After submitting all the requirements, last September 4, 2020 (after 11days of processing), my client received his P2M plus 1 month Return of Premium due last August 25, 2020 amounting to P7,904. All in all, the client received P2,007,904. It was through bank transfer because of COVID. Praise God he is finally at home and getting better.
I realized that my profession is really a noble one. I think next time, I will be more persuasive in convincing my prospects or clients to really get a Life Insurance, especially a Health Plan.
Tama yung sinabi ni client, "1M lang, at least kahit paano mayroon than not having one at all, though we all know that 1M is not really enough."
If you can afford, go for it. Never think twice. When we experience unexpected events in life, it won’t be just our own problem, but it will be the problem of the entire family.

We don’t get insurance because we want to use it later, but being prepared should never be an option. It is really a must!
