"Monicanians Towards Excellence Through Holistic Pursuit."

Sta. Monica Academy Academic Fair 2024 started yesterday with the opening of the PE culmination. And the true highlights of the event were the booths displayed earlier. Each booth, creatively designed and managed by the students, served as their dedication in the pursuit of excellence. From science experiments to art exhibits, each booth offered a unique insight into the subject it represented.

The Monicanians have put in tremendous efforts to create a year-end event that will be cherished as a lasting memory.

Earlier in the school, the BFP R7 Pinamungajan Cebu conducted a combined Earthquake and Fire Drill led by the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, FINSP Leonardo D. Clarido

Earlier| Career Awareness 2024

“Career Dreamers: Find Your Passion Towards Success.”

Earlier, an inspiring career guidance event was organized for Grade 10 students, aiming to empower them and provide guidance for their future endeavors. This was also attended by the kindergarten students together with their parents and guardians. Various speakers were invited to share their experiences and expertise, shedding light on the diverse career opportunities available. By attending this event, students gained a deeper understanding of their strengths and interests, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future career paths.

Congratulations to Mr. Rhycel Miguel Cais and Ms. Angel Marie Diaz, who were awarded as the Best Dressed. Throughout the career guidance event, their attire and appearance stood out among their peers. In addition to the Best Dressed award, the event also recognized Mr. and Ms. Young Professionals. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Riel Fritz Taguiam and Ms. Chrichelle Jayne Fuentes, who were hailed as Mr. and Ms. Young Professionals 2024.

Earlier | Ash Wednesday

Earlier today, the holy mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Felipe Diacosta.

Ash Wednesday signals the beginning of Lent, a season of renewal in preparation for Easter. Today, ashes are traced on our forehead in the form of a cross, as we are told, "Turn away from sins and believe in the Good news." It may seem ironic that we soil ourselves as we begin this time when we are supposed to clean up ourselves. But looking a little closer at the symbol of Ashes may show us the meaning of this important gesture and the entire season of Lent.

We rend our hearts, not our garments, and return to the Lord. Our Lenten practices—prayer, fasting, almsgiving—are rightly done before God's eyes.

A diverse range of talents, skills, and spirited competition led to an impressive standing in the overall ranking for this year's intramurals.

The Golden Cobra was hailed as the 3rd placer, the Green Hornets as the 2nd, and the Blue Falcon placed 1st. The journey led to a decisive finale where, in the end, a sole champion rose to claim the title. And this title was clinched by the Service-Oriented Red Phoenix!

All grade levels showcased their skills and teamwork earlier in presenting their field demonstration; their hard work and cooperation paid off! Grade 11 Saint Nicholas was held as the champion, followed by Grade 9 Saint Rita and Saint Claire as the 1st runner-up, and Grade 12 Saint Alypius and Grade 12 Our Lady of Consolation as the 2nd runner-up.

Every December, Monicanians ignite the spirit of the Christmas season by sharing their generosity with others through our Talangpaz Outreach Program. Just like the saying goes, "Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most."

Our dear Monicanians welcomed them with warmth and joy for this year's Talangpaz Outreach Program. They were given gifts that satisfied their basic needs, but an Oikos Sharing also mends their hearts and serves as a constant reminder that the greatest gift of all is having Jesus in their lives.

This program was made possible through the efforts of the parents and the SMAP family. Monicanians, your thoughtfulness is a gift. May the love of Christ fill your hearts with warmth this Christmas season.

December 2023 | Awarding for the Missionaries of the Year

Sta. Monica Academy honoured the recipients of the Missionary of the Year award. The highest contributor was Blendalyn Siase; Cher Angelie Pono came in second, while Niña Astrid Quinal came in third, followed by Ethan Rafael Malusay.

In addition, the school also awarded the Missionary Classes of the Year. Grade 10 St. Augustine came in first as the class with the highest collection, followed by Grade 9 St. Rita and Grade 12 Our Lady of Consolation.

Winning isn't always just about the trophy, but the commitment and passion displayed by every individual.

The results are in and Sta. Monica Academy placed 2nd in the overall ranking. A heartfelt congratulations to all of our exceptional team for their outstanding performance throughout the three days Interschool meet held at Pinamungajan National High School. We may not hailed as the overall champion, but the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork have made us all winners.

Kudos to all the teachers, mentors, students, parents, faculty, staff and administrators for their unwavering support and dedication to our athletes and candidates. Our great support system makes success become possible. We may not have participated in other events, but we still ranked second.
