A highlight of the event was the showcase of Vi 3v3 Arena by Gridlock-Games, a rising indie title that, despite being in beta, has gained traction for its intense matches and strong community support. The 2025 bootcamp also marked a special collaboration with Kawangis Publishing, whose characters will soon be playable in the game, bridging the creative worlds of literature, arts, and esports.
Mr. Patrick Odale Roxas, the CEO of Gridlock-Games Studio, shared:โLahat ng effort natin dito ay para sa community. Nakita namin ang dedication ng bawat player at supporter, at dito natin ramdam ang tunay na puso ng Pinoy esports. Hindi lang laro ito, ito ay laban at dangal na sama-sama nating binubuo.โ
Students from Pateros Technological College (PTC) demonstrated outstanding performance during the bootcampโs esports activities. PTC participants secured 2nd place in Himagsikan Tournament (HMGSKN) on November 30, led by Gamerz Guild representatives Justine Angelo T. Eleria, Ernest Dave B. Padua, Kenneth A. Mandapat, and Carl Joseph Flores. Earlier, on October 11, PTC students clinched 1st place in the Vi 3v3 Arena competition during the Tech Bootcamp and Esports Tournament in Bacoor, an impressive milestone for the team.
Their achievements were widely commended for showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, and teamwork. Five faculty members provided support on-site and online throughout the training: Prof. Michael Noel Tolentino, Prof. Catherine Peรฑaverde, Prof. Mark Philip Felipe, Dr. Mary Grace Belgar, and IICT Dean Klarence Baptista. A total of 17 students joined on-site, with 6 participating virtually.
Graduates received short-course certifications from DOST and Gridlock-Games, solidifying their foundational skills in software engineering and game development. The program continues to pave the way for nurturing the next generation of Filipino game developers in a rapidly growing digital landscape.
