Ang pangalan ng Subic ay galing sa salitang "Hubek" na ang ibig sabihin ay ulo ng araro, "head of a plough" ang bigkas ng mga Espanyol noon dito ay "Subiq" at nung dumating ang mga americano ang bigkas nila dito ay "Subig" kalaunan ay ibinalik ang tawag dito bilang "Subiq" hanggang sa napalitan ng "c" ang "q" na ngayon ay kilalang bayan ng Subic.

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦!

The Province of Zambales has reached a total of 1,011,763 in overnight tourist arrivals in 2024. This is the highest figure since records began and a 35% increase from pre-pandemic levels.

The highest number of tourist arrivals was recorded in San Antonio with 318,333 followed by Botolan with 106,011 and San Felipe with 93,684.

Our thanks to the tourists that selected Zambales as their travel destination, the tourism establishments, the municipal tourism officers of Zambales, and other stakeholders who are behind this significant milestone.

We continue to enjoin the public in maintaining a safe and clean space for tourism, and dealing only with DOT Accredited and Locally Registered Tourism Related Establishments.
