Nostalgic Feels: The Time a Caroler Serenaded Our Baby Store
So, hereโs a memory na hindi ko makakalimutan: isang random caroler, with her ukulele, standing in front of our now-closed baby store.
Sniff. Sniff.
Walang ka-plan-plan, she started singing the ABS-CBN Station ID song na sobrang uso noong time na โyun.
Literal na โPinoy Christmas vibesโ ang peg!
Naalala ko โto dahil nakita ko ulit yung lumang reel sa phone ko, and wow - sobrang nostalgic.
It wasnโt just about the store being lively or having customers browsing around.
It was about moments like this - unexpected, heartwarming, and genuinely Filipino.
The Caroler with a Ukulele
Sino ba mag-aakala na ang simpleng caroling sa harap ng shop could become such a memorable moment?
โDi ba usually nakakahiya o awkward pag ganito?
Pero hindi, nag-enjoy pa kami.
She sang her heart out, and alam mo โyung feeling na parang may โspirit of Christmasโ talaga na bumalot sa shop?
Grabe, ang saya.
And yes, na-convert pa namin siya to a customer - bumili siya ng baby clothes para daw sa inaanak niya!
Social Media Lessons from a Random Caroler
Fast forward to today - walang physical store, pero napaisip ako: how can moments like this translate sa Social Media?
Hereโs what I realized:
1. Unexpected Content Hooks People
Kung memorable sa akin ang random caroling moment na ito, imagine kung paano ito magiging relatable or shareable sa audience mo.
People love real and unscripted moments.
Example:
Share a reel or story about unexpected customer encounters or random acts of kindness.
2. Infuse Your Brand with Feels
The reason why ABS-CBN Station IDs hit us so hard is because they evoke emotions.
Ganon din dapat sa baby brands mo.
Post about milestones - babyโs first steps, first smiles, or even first tantrums.
These resonate with moms and parents na audience mo.
3. Bring the Holiday Spirit Online
Kung caroling ang peg ng content mo, why not create a holiday-themed ser

Being a mom is a full-time job.
Tapos working ka pa, feeling mo nasa marathon ka na walang ending.
As a Freelance Social Media Manager, Iโve experienced my fair share of ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐จ๐ถ๐ช๐ญ๐ต - those moments when I wonder if Iโm doing enough for my kids while juggling deadlines and client calls.
If youโre a working mom or an eCommerce business owner, you probably know this struggle all too well.
But hereโs the thing:
Mom guilt doesnโt define us, and we donโt have to let it win.
In this post, Iโll share how Iโve learned to cope, create balance, and focus on what truly matters.

Mom guilt stems from wanting to do it all - be a present mom, crush your work goals, and still have time to breathe.
Society often tells us we should have it all together, but letโs be real: ๐ฐ๐โ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ง.
For me, the guilt creeps in when I miss bedtime stories or a school activity because of work.
I know Iโm working hard to help my husband provide for my family, but that doesnโt always quiet the voice in my head asking, โ๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ?โ

Hereโs what Iโve learned along the way - coping with mom guilt isnโt about being perfect; itโs about being present and intentional.

Iโve found that talking openly with my kids makes a huge difference.

Lessons From My Mom&Baby eCommerce Store Journey: A Mompreneurโs Guide to 2024 Success
๐ฉต A Walk Down Memory Lane
Bubba Stash began as a passion project inspired by my youngest son.
Skeptical about pre-loved items at first, I decided to test the waters with just 25pcs - and to my surprise, they sold out in a single day.
Motivated by this success, I gradually increased stock from 50 to 100pcs and the rest is history.
This success led us to open a physical store.
The store's name, "Bubba", an American slang term of endearment from the word "brother", holds a special place in my heart as a tribute to our three sons.
Unfortunately, operations paused during the pandemic after we faced a scam, a setback that deeply affected us.
Now, Iโm reflecting on possibly reviving it in 2025, with lessons learned and a renewed sense of purpose.
Each image in this video tells a story - not just of products sold, but of dreams built and connections made.
๐ฉท Lessons Learned in 2024
Running Bubba Stash taught me invaluable lessons:
๐Start Small, Dream Big: Every big achievement starts with a single step.
๐Build a Loyal Community:
Customers are more than transactions - they're part of your journey.
๐Learn from Setbacks: While being scammed was heartbreaking, it taught me the importance of due diligence and resilience.
These lessons have shaped not only my approach to business but also my freelancing journey.
๐ฉต Freelancing and eCommerce: A Perfect Match
My experience with Bubba Stash laid the foundation for my freelancing career as a Social Media Manager for eCommerce Store Owners.
I understand the challenges of running a business - from managing marketing to building a loyal customer base - all while juggling the demands of motherhood.
Iโve translated this understanding into actionable strategies for my clients, helping them build strong brands and connect with their customers.
To my fellow mompreneurs and co-freelancers, know that your expe
What's Better: Eat Out or Homecooked Meals this Christmas?
The holiday season brings with it a flurry of excitement, planning, and of course, food. Christmas is a time when families gather to celebrate, and the centerpiece of many gatherings is the FOOOOD!
But this had me asking:
Should you dine out or enjoy a homecooked feast?
If you ask me, thereโs something magical about celebrating at home with a lovingly prepared meal.
Hereโs why I believe homecooked meals take the crown and why you might agree too.
There is a personal touch when you cook at home, every dish is infused with love and effort.
Itโs not just about the food; itโs about creating memories.
Kids helping with the preparation while waiting to be allowed to open their giftsโthese moments are priceless!
Homecooking also allows you to tailor the menu to your familyโs tastes. Whether itโs traditional Filipino dishes like Crispy Pata or a fusion of global flavors, youโre in control.
One more thing, it's budget-friendly.
Letโs face itโeating out during the holidays can be expensive.
With a homecooked meal, you can feed the whole fambam without hurting your wallet, leaving room for gifts and other festive expenses.
Sabi nga nila, thereโs no place like home.
You donโt have to deal with noisy crowds or the pressure to vacate a table.
Instead, you can laugh and share stories without worrying about the table next to you.
And..
Here's also when dining out makes sense:
That said, eating out does have its perks:
Convenience: No cooking, no cleanup.
Simply show up, eat, and enjoy.
Special Treat: If thereโs a restaurant your family loves or youโve been wanting to try, Christmas can be the perfect excuse.
Break from Tradition: For families whoโve always celebrated at home, dining out is something you might want to try to give a twist to holiday traditions.
Making the Decision
The choice ultimately depends on your familyโs preferences, budget, and prioritie
May mga araw talaga na yung motivation mo is super ON!๐ค As in, wala talagang makakapigil ๐
And after pushing through everything , mapapasabi ka na lang ng, "Sheeesh, paano ko nagawa โyun?" ๐
Finally moved up from Stage 1 to Stage 2โtook forever, pero eto na, finally!
Big shoutout to The Freelance Movement Tribeโgame changer talaga. Kahit slow progress, it's still a win for me ๐
These days, ang hirap kasi maging productive. With all the noise from Social Media, never-ending to-do list, it's easy to lose focus.
Some will say, "Eh time management lang โyan." Sure, pero honestly, nasa drive din. Itโs about wanting to crush it, hindi lang basta matapos.
So if you had a week na chef's kiss on both work and life, give yourself some props.
Pero light flex langโkasi next week, ang dami pa ring ganap! ๐
Okies?

Just woke up from the wildest nightmare โ someone closed my MacBook with something still on the keyboard at nabasag yung screen ๐ฑ I legit jumped out of bed and checked the laptop right away๐ฉ
Lesson of the day: Donโt leave your charger, pen, or that one random snack on the keyboard (I don't though). Your MacBook at kung ano mang laptop meron ka - deserves better, and so does your wallet. ๐ธ๐
Protect the screen like it's your baby because trust me, the repair bill is a horror story you donโt want to experience in real life! ๐ป
Grabe lang kaba ko eh. Wag kang mababasag at wala akong pampagawa sayo๐

Showing up online is one of the hardest tasks for me. Minsan walang maisip, madalas takot ma-judge.
But heck, I remember a Coach friend told me once "Ate, sa sobrang hirap ng buhay, I'm sure iba't iba ang mga focus nila - yung mga posts natin na walang kinalaman sa kanila - parang blur lang sa kanila yun." and "kala ko din dati nakakahiya eh, pero hindi naman sakin umiikot ang mundo".
Hindi pa rin to masyado nagsisink in sakin, but slowly I'll get used to it.
Kay pag tinanong mo ako ulit ng "SMM ka diba? Bakit hindi ka madalas magpost sa platforms mo?"
It's either because I am busy helping somebody else's brand grow online or I am just too shy to put myself out there.
So how do you overcome this?
Simple:
๐ Surround yourself with like-minded people.
๐ Focus. Eye on the goal.
๐ Ako? Pag dko kaya ipost ang isang content, I upload them with eyes closed๐ A tip I got from another SMM. (So yes, hindi tayo nag-iisa)
๐ Lastly, just do it. So it scared. Gawin para sa ekonomiya. Learn by doing.
Eyyy? Eyyyy!!๐ค

Growing a business online is not easy but with the right Social Media Strategy, you can convert your visitors into customers.
This business was a pandemic baby which started as a hobby with my youngest. Then I started getting clients even on my first month as a hobbyist till it grew - I can only take a few orders as I was a one man team. From 3pcs to 100+pcs of orders! Sadly, my hands can only so much๐๐ค
Though it only lasted for a few months, I am just happy I was able to bring out the kid in me through clay.
How about you?
What's your business?
Want to grow yours too?
Let's talk!๐คฉ
