I will be forever grateful that God has given me the gift to share His words and be an instrument to touch the young minds and hearts to follow His holy will.

Sabi ko sa retreat master namin noon, “Mapagpatawad po akong tao, pero bakit ngayon parang hindi na sumusunod yung puso ko na magpatawad, siguro ay dahil sa paulit-ulit na sakit.”

He asked me, “Ano ba ang ibig sabihin sa’yo ng pagpapatawad?”

“Nakapagpatawad po ako kapag may PEACE OF MIND na ako, kapag MALUWAG SA PUSO KO NA BINIGAY ‘YUNG PAGPAPATAWAD”.

He answered, “Hindi ka lubusang nakapagpatawad kung hindi ka nasaktan. Ang pagpapatawad ay mahirap at masakit ibigay, pero ‘yun yung dapat.”

I reflected on his advice. Oo nga.. tayo nga na nagkasala kay Lord, ibinigay Niya ‘yung pagpapatawad sa masakit na paraan– He gave His only begotten Son for us to be redeemed from our sins.

So, hindi pala tama ‘yung ‘Hurt people, hurt people’.
Yes, most of the time we are hurt by others, but all we have to do is to forgive them, even if it hurts us deeply. :)
