So, a few weeks back — Run BGC happened and it was really enjoyable.

Ran as the 5th wheel again (as usual 😂), Me + two siblings + their partners = solo runner, emotionally supported, pero happy and free.. haha 😂

No PR broken this time… saktong casual 5K, steady pace, no pressure.

This officially wraps up my last run for 2025, and I told myself I’ll use the downtime to train properly before going back to actual races. Kasi kung hindi ako mag-train… for sure mamumukhang foreplay lang yung PR ko by 2026 😅💀🏃‍♂️

Ran, sweated, survived — with my Kinetiqq Magnesium Wax (yes, wax talaga sya pero mas masaya pag cream sabi ni Wally.. ugh cream… required talaga 😆). Big shoutout to Runrio Inc. for another smooth, well-organized BGC run.

See you on the road again in 2026 👋

Sumobra sa ₱500 yung budget… pero Christmas naman eh, pwede na yan 🤣💸

Let's start with Beef Lumpia…🤣🤣🤣
Morcon talaga sya and first time ko siyang ginawa so medyo sablay sa ex*****on at technique, pero flavor-wise solid 4/5 naman sya — panalo pa rin sa lasa 👌🥩

Next up is Honey Walnut Shrimp 🍤🍯
Inspired by Panda Express (yes, that one 😌) and matagal ko na sya gusto irecreate then finally tried after seeing it at The Chinita Foodie Gaya-Gaya Recipe 😁😁😁 Result Medyo ligaw sa sweetness vs tanginess ratio, so 2/5 muna tayo dito 😅 Pero okay lang — learning curve is waving sakin.. hehe.. 👋😂

Overall verdict:
✅ Edible naman
✅ Nakain ng family
✅ Walang nagreklamo (out loud)

So pweydi naaaa 😆👏🍻

Finally tried ! 🍦✨

Lagi ko ’tong nadadaanan and since super init nung day na ‘yon, I thought... "Why not give it a try?" 🥵 Since wala silang Matcha (my usual!), I went with my reliable backup combo: Ube and Pistachio. 💜💚

Here’s my honest take:

🧆 Pistachio: ✅✅☑️☑️☑️
🍠 Ube: ✅✅✅☑️☑️

While the combination worked well together 👌💯, individually, I found the flavors a bit lacking. I was expecting a deeper "pistachio-ness" and a more "ube-heavy" profile. 🍨 Ube is ♥️♥️♥️

Have you guys tried Chef Mike’s Gelato? What’s your favorite flavor? or do you have other reco! 👇
