Sony 24-50mm F2.8 G Test
Just a quick video test lang po for the Sony 24-50mm F2.8 G Lens na nabili ko from Henry's Cameras PH.
Sobrang happy ako sa purchase na ito kasi this is my first Sony native lens na hindi kitlens and I must say, iba talaga yung auto focus performance niya and mas sharp siya sa dati kong gamit. I had to reduce some sharpness sa post processing kasi ang talas!
Baka gawan ko din ito ng dedicated video soon pag nakaluwag.

DJI Flip First Flight
DJI Flip First Flight
Here are my initial thoughts about the NEW DJI Flip during my first flight.
Speed
- The DJI Flip is noticeably and significantly faster than the DJI Neo. Like it's literally night and day difference which makes the DJI Flip alot more responsive and nimbler. It can reach the maximum altitude of 120 meters in no time.
Image Quality
- The image quality coming from the DJI Flip is also significantly better than the DJI Neo and that's not a surprise given that its camera specifications is basically the same as with the one on the DJI Mini 4 Pro. The addition of D-Log M color profile makes a ton of difference in terms of flexibility for color grading
Wind Resistance
- While it might not be as tough as the DJI Mini 4 Pro, I would say it heaps ahead of the DJI Neo when it comes to wind resistance. Based on my first flight, I had no problems getting stable footage at its maximum altitude and at its maximum speed. Of course, the same couldn't be said in locations with extreme wind speeds.
Deployment Time
- Although it's required to flip out the propellers on the DJI Flip, with the DJI RC2 that comes with the DJI Flip Fly More Combo package, it makes deployment and take off fairly quick. No need to fiddle with the retractable phone holder and connecting the cable. Not to mention, the fact that you won't be able to properly use your phone for important phone calls while in flight.
Filters
- I used a first party set of ND Filters that DJI sent me, and I would say, it's definitely a must for shooting at a sunny day. It allowed me to set the shutter speed properly for the 180-degree rule and makes the footage properly smooth.
Battery
- Battery life is amazing, while I was not able to do a proper battery test during my first flight, I definitely noticed that it took me longer to bring back home the DJI Flip compared to my experience with the DJI Neo.
Oh, and I was able to fly at night with no issues which I wasn't able to do with the DJI Neo at least
