COMMUNITY IMPACT USING THE AUDIO OF ACTS 12: 25- 13: 3 IN BAGO VERSION
These 3 Questions and one good Question were answered by Mrs. Leony Bang-asan
1. Is the story right as translated in our Bago Language?
Ans.: Yes, but I noticed the word “isdi” is suppose to be changed with “ad” because to me that is more proper, to give distinction between a near(isdi) and far(ad) place. Generally, yes the translation is good
2. Is it better if the story is translated in our Bago Language?
Ans.: Yes, specially to the young generation; they need to hear God’s word in our own language.
3. Will the story be understood if translated in our Bago Language?
Ans.: Yes, I believe they will understand.
GOOD QUESTION: Where did they send Barnabas and Saul?
Ans.: They were sent to preach the Gospel to where the Holy Spirit told them.
SIX GENERAL QUESTIONS: These 1st 3 Questions were answered by Mrs. Nena B. Perez
1. What lesson did you learn from the story?
Ans.: In this passage from the book of Acts, I can see that the disciples were so obedient, dedicated and loving to the Lord’s work.
2. What do you feel when you heard the story in our Bago Language?
Ans.: I’m so happy to hear the story narrated in our Bago Language. And I’m thinking now of our younger generation. They must learn to treasure our dialect or mother tongue because it is now being used to bring God’s word to them.
3. What part of the story that you don’t like?
Ans.: None; I like all and we must like all of the word of the Lord.
These last 3 General Questions were again answered by Mrs. Leony Bang-asan
4. What part of the story that you like?
Ans.: I like the entire passage because it inspired so much people; the bringers of the gospel and the receivers as well, it really brought change in the lives of many.
5. What part of the story you think that others don’t like?
Ans.: There are people who are receptive of the Gospel, but are always who’ll reject it. What matter is as long as the Word is preached to them then that’s up to them if they receive it or not.
6. Aside from your many answers, what more you want to add to it?
Ans.: What I want to add is, you are the ones to add more of your patience and effort so that when the Gospel is preached through the product of your translation, our own language will also be spreading with God’s word.
