Amen

In Revelation 20:12-15, a book called the "Book of Life" is opened before the throne of God. The dead are judged according to what they have done, as recorded in the book. Anyone whose name is not found in it is thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation is a book of prophecy about the second coming of Jesus and the end of the 6,000-year work of God and His chosen people. If the Book of Life determines whether someone is thrown into the lake of fire or not, then it is certainly something we must understand. What must people do to have their names recorded in it? Let us take these matters to heart, earnestly seek answers, and do our best to be recorded in it.

In Genesis 12:7, God promised Abraham that his descendants would inherit the Promised Land. In Genesis 17, God confirmed that Abraham would be the father of many nations. Through this, his faith became the cornerstone of a divine legacy that would ultimately lead to the Messiah, fulfilling God’s plan of redemption.

Fast forward to the book of Revelation, we see the 144,000, standing on Mount Zion with Jesus. They follow Jesus wherever he goes, living as blameless first fruits offered to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in them, and they are blameless. The continuity from Abraham’s descendants to the 144,000 underscores God’s unbroken covenant, highlighting His faithfulness from beginning to end.

Jesus said in Matthew 16 that whoever wants to be his disciples must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

Following Jesus is more than just saying it; it is seen in how a person lives. This might mean enduring hardships, persecution, or even delaying or giving up personal aspirations—dying to oneself to follow the path where God leads.

Whenever the cross feels heavier, remember that you are not carrying it alone. Jesus knows and will give us what we need to overcome and reach the finish line.

Like Jesus, the faithful prophets, and the apostles, let us become God's servants with the mindset of being everything for everyone. These examples lived their lives relying on God's strength alone, setting aside their individual weaknesses and limitations. Through this, they were able to lead many people to the Word and God's promise of eternal life.

We may be lacking as individuals, but remember that God chose the weak and foolish to shame the strong and wise. (1 Corinthians 1:27) With God, we are complete and able.
