Face-to-face classes suspended in Camarines Sur due to heavy rainfall warning

Following the issuance of a Yellow Warning level by PAGASA due to the Shearline weather system, face-to-face classes at all levels in Camarines Sur, both public and private, have been suspended today, February 10.

According to the weather bureau, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue throughout the day, posing risks of flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in vulnerable regions. Rough sea conditions are also reported, making travel by small seacraft hazardous.

In response to the suspension, schools are directed to adopt alternative learning strategies such as modular distance learning, performance tasks, and make-up classes, in line with their Learning and Service Continuity Plans.

LOOK: Taiwanese actor and singer Ken Chu expressed his grief on social media over the passing of his Meteor Garden co-star, Barbie Hsu.

Chu expressed his sorrow on his Instagram Story, first posting a black image, followed by a nostalgic group photo from the iconic series.

The two had worked together in the 2001 hit drama, where Hsu played Shan Cai and Chu portrayed Xi Men.

Hsu died of pneumonia after contracting influenza during the Lunar New Year holiday.
